Strengths:    Very reliable, the fork can take a beating. I have done 6-8 foot drops and it has no issues yet. The fork is on my 2006 Kona Dawg

Weaknesses:    My only complaint is that I want more travel and thats why I am upgrading to the all mountain 2

Bottom Line:
Great durable fork, great for the all around rider, probably a better cross country fork than a freeride fork though which is why I am upgrading.

Gran Fondo 3

My friend has a gran fondo 3 on his Kona Dawg, and weighs ~135lbs. The fork is way too firm, even with well below the spec air pressure in each leg. Is there a way to rebuild the fork for a light weight rider? If he decides to replace this fork (tight on money right now), what would be something ... Read More »

Manitou R7 vs Marzocchi Gran Fondo Race 3

Hey, folks, I am choosing between two bikes, one with each of the shocks listed above. Pretty strictly cross-country riding, with probably some racing. Anybody know anything about the Marzocchi? The Manitou's the Elite, with (non-remote) lockout.Read More »
