Strengths: stiffness(torsional and lateral especially, plushness, good damping, everything you could ask for froma 7 or 8 inch travel forkWeaknesses: noneBottom Line: Mine is actually a 1999 version i bought new from jenson last summer, but the newer verion is still very similar... Anyways, after about 18 months of riding the fork very hard, it performs fantastic, just like the day i put it on. It tends to lean more towards providing a great overall ride instead of being just a big drop fork, The first four inches of travel are very active, and after that the damping ramps up slowy, but noticibally, then, the last inch or so, the damping kicks up, and prevents the fork from bottoming hard. The fork has precise steering qualities, you can head straigh into a rock garden, and it will hold its line, its truly point and shoot. I have no complaints with my fork, it has performed better than I could have ever expected. I would definently buy another if I could locate one.
