Strengths:    everything

Weaknesses:    probably its weight

Bottom Line:
This shock is a waste of cash. there is no way u need all that travel. many pros use the triple 888 and hit huge stuff on the trails and still have a soft landing. this fork is a gimik and not worth the cash. if u r serious about a good fork, look at the 888 or monster T, not these

Date Reviewed: June 13, 2004

Strengths:    This fork has the brute attributes of something that is beyond what the mortal minds can comprehend.
It would be better be described and named along the line of "Godzilla" or "thisisonebadassfukinfork" or maybe, "Atomicbomb" or somethong that will better decsribe it's pure tendencies for going into the realm of the unknown and returning unscaved.

Weaknesses:    You're joking me, right?

Bottom Line:
I rate this with an entire acre of Flamin' Sensi Buds - ur, I mean Flamin' Chili Peppers- and can say if you are after a mega serious set of pokers, this fork will satisfy the beast in you or, the beast you intend to be.
Get on this fork and go out and whoopass up on gravity and just laugh about it.
Heck, I believe you could either kill a Kodiak bear if you hit one at speed, or else, just run right over it ... small cars; no problem.
Now, it's time to kickback in Johnny's Garden a bit and chill, and then break out the Freak Machine and go create another legendary ride up here in the True FREE North where life is not puritanical and fraudently pathetic ...
peace out eh!

Favorite Trail:   where no sane minds will go

Duration Product Used:   6 months

Purchased At:   Johnny 's Rockets

Similar Products Used:   All the "heylookatmeI'msobadtothebone" wannabees that cost as much -and MORE- than this 300mm gravity-slayer.

Bike Setup:   Several frames, all set up for gravity distruction ...
typical Double Wides and 2.74x26" F / 3.0"x24" R and tall gearing.
Rear shock set up depends on how far I will be droping or gapping and the binders are Hayes 9" and 8"- naturally.
The rest is all the heavy duty gravity slawing items that won't break before I do and this is comforting to me cuz' I just won't have my gear "let go" in the heat of the battle between me and the "gravity dance".
