Strengths:    brakes are radical, frame is totally off the hook and brake hoses are nifty spokes are boomin and tire bead is a little dusty but it makes up with the shaking rims

Weaknesses:    seatpost doesn't compare to brushing my teeth if you know what i mean, you can't use it for downhill

Bottom Line:
a good bike if you like the taste of steak
and want to begin downhill and your between the ages of 5-7

Strengths:    slightly better brakes

Weaknesses:    brakes are the craptastic HS-11 maguras, handlebars, brake levers, tires, weight

Bottom Line:
Marginally better than the X-Alp, this bike is roughly $100-125 too high in price. A mod bike should be relatively light, however this bike was a pig. Weighing in at around 25lbs, sidestepping was cumbersome and pedalkicking was real difficult. The brakes lack the locking power of their bigger sister model, the HS33, and the bike suffers for that reason.
The Tires (Monty's own) were a bit on the sketchy side. Trials riders typically run lower pressures, but with lower pressure the bike squiggled, which is a sign of weak sidewalls.

If you're going to get a Trials Mod, get save up for a Brisa or Megamo or something else like that. Monty's low-end is not worth any consideration

Strengths:    Didn´t hurt my wallet too much and after 4 months of use I am pretty satisfied with my bike (nothing has gone broke except those monty grips). Great value for money and good bike for beginners and amateurs (including me).

Weaknesses:    Turns out to be a bit heavy (frame). Rockguard doesn´t protect a big slam the chainwheel may turn. The magura HS-11 brakes are average, sometimes you have to squeeze them very strongly if you don´t want to hurt your back (brake power is missing?).

Bottom Line:
This mod bike is worth purchasing if you want to dive in the exciting world of trial without spending all your money. Great value rating!
