Strengths: It is a great starter tandem with wonderful, quality equipment for the money!Weaknesses: Handlebars (stock) did not fit our style of riding. Color of frame was not too visible on the road.Bottom Line: This bike is a perfect choice for the average size rider and first time tandem buyer with exceptional value for the persons wanting to "experiment" with tandem riding. We were an "unequally yoked" set of bike riders on our separate bikes, but not so on the Comp. The cromoly Comp was not our first choice, but this one was on sale and we were not sure that a 20in/16in would fit us, so we tried it and it is perfect for both my wife and I and with crank shorteners, my 7year old sone and I. Before buying we shopped and just could not find a right size bike on the Internet that we had confidence in. The reviews for the KHS were straight up with what we have experienced so far with our Comp. We intend to branch out with our riding this Summer and include my son more. It is a great family thing and we are considering buying another tandem to get all four of us out at the same time. The KHS Comp is light enough, sturdy and built with enough of the quality components that it will both last and appeal to others when we sell ours to "trade up"!! The only reason I give it a 4 on overall is the lack of color choice from year to year even, they are almost the same colors!
