Strengths: A real road bike for a smaller pre-teen. My 8 y/o daughter "got" the concept of gears in about 2 minutes. We trashed a week-old $68 plus tax 20" Target bike to buy this one. Short (10.5") post guarantees even small kids can ride this. My kid is the smallest in her 2nd grade class - and now she has the biggest bike.Weaknesses: Heavier than other bikes, but we just call it sturdier and leave it at that.Bottom Line: Buy this for your kid.
