Strengths:    looks, and feels like it has a fork. brakes are great. Sould be good for starters .

Weaknesses:    i dont know if the fork can withstand 2 foot or higher drops. It could have better components( XT instead of Deore)but you could upgrade too! The brakes make a squeeking sound. (but thats just because they are not worked in yet)

Bottom Line:
Well see.... im planning on buying this bike. Now it looks strong enough to handle 2-4 foot drops, but i dont know. The fork might not be able to. All-in-all i think it would be a good bike (My 1st(nice)hardtail) If someone could email me, & tell me if i should get this bike for what i MIGHT throw at it that would be great. cuze i NEED a nice bike soon or I might explode!!!
And if u look below at the rating i give it... its 3 chilis because im not sure. (thats half way yea know)

Strengths:    Hydraulic disks (I will never go back to Vee brakes), Suspension fork - fortget it the whole bike is great!!

Weaknesses:    Not much. The tires do suck for road riding but the are awesome on the trails. XT derailers would be better but also would have driven the cost up (the LX work fine).

Bottom Line:
I like everything about this bike. I think it was an excellent value for the dollar. This is my first bike with hydraulic disk and I'll never go back. Down in the low gears it climbs great and the LX derailers work well.

Strengths:    Frame, Awesome brakes (if you've never used hydraulic disc - you should), generally great specs for the price. Can cop a beating. I feel it's a well balanced bike that doesn't need a pro to ride it.

Weaknesses:    I've had a few problems with the front derailler cable. The inner has pulled through the cable casing leading to abnormal stretch. But this wouldn't be common I imagine.

Bottom Line:
Awesome bike for the price. If you're looking at buying your first hardtail, I recommend spending a little bit more initially and getting a decent quality bike such as this. It will let you enjoy most trails without letting you down performance wise.

Strengths:    Resposive turning, good fork, great brakes, strong frame, its a nice wieght too.

Weaknesses:    tires suck for onroad...but thats not what they are meant for. other than that (i dont find that a weakness) its a great all-around bike

Bottom Line:
stupid tax brought it to 1500, $200 of that was tax. this is my first 'good' bike, im going to start racing on it soon. great for a first bike! its everything you need in a bike without having to pay over $2000

Strengths:    Good Frame, Brakes superb, Fork suprisingly good.

Weaknesses:    Some heavy components (only if your thinking of racing)

Bottom Line:
I love it ! My third hardtail, very responsive. Gives great braking ! Throw it around downhill it goes where you want it. It pedals uphill for you (ok slight exaggeration). I have stopped lusting after full sussers (well almost).Great choice for your second hardtail or even beginners xc racer with a bit of weight reduction.
