Strengths:    stronge stiff bike

Weaknesses:    come with cable brakes witch are not that great , and can only go up to a 2.3 tyre on the rear.

Bottom Line:
this bike makes a good free ride and dirt jumping bike , i bort the bike new in 2003 and still ride it now in 2009 , this poor bike has been abused six years , dj3 forks gave up in 2005 and i put some 2005 dj3 forks on and they are still running fine , i put hydraulic brakes on and new back wheele and a shorter stem , the rest of the bike are the same parts that come with the bike , the bottom braket makes a creaking nose the last three years , i will have to have a look at it one day, other than that the bike is great andi still love it

Strengths:    Frame is strong as hell. I beat this thing down and the frame is still in wicked shape.

Weaknesses:    Could have used hydros. fork is very heavy for a single crown.

Bottom Line:
This is a bike that you really get what you pay for.The low price compensates for the lower end parts.Certainly worth every penny, dont get me wrong. This bike is perfect for somebody new to freeriding that wants a good bike and doesnt want to spend alot.Overall this is a great bike for what it costs new. i got mine used from Pinkbike.com for an awesome price ($800)

Strengths:    I found the frame very solid. The fork is a good fit and it makes the geometry good.

Weaknesses:    The bars and seat and componants were all pretty bad. It should have hyros too.

Bottom Line:
great bike to learn on not usially very forgiving but it is possible to do stuff on this bike

Date Reviewed: January 30, 2005

Strengths:    This a sweet bike it is light and easy to handle Not to mention a great price.

Weaknesses:    It could use hydrolic disc brakes but everything else is awsome

Bottom Line:
this bike is great with a few upgrades like better forks and hydro's this is a nice ride. I am planning on some Hayes HFK-mag DH 8 inch brakes, a DMR ultraspeed 2 chain guide, and a 24 inch sun doublewide rim with a big fat nokian Gazzalodi to top it all off

Bike Setup:   I put 2004 Marzocchi JRT's, new 31.8mm bars, new hub, odi lock on grips, and DH tubes. it is so sweet with the JRT's. I advise anyone who is thinking of upgrading their forks to get the JRT model.

Submitted by Biker Dude a Weekend Warrior from Utah

Date Reviewed: November 4, 2004

Strengths:    frame-very strong, well balanced, great geometry, unique color

fork-perfect travel for dirt jumping, very easy to use, looks kick@ss

brakes-take time to burnish but other than that, stop well and very easy to use

crankset-very strong

pedals- replacable pins, durable

rims-not the strongest but can deal with a fair amount of beatings

Weaknesses:    rear rim- i personally would have liked to seen a 24" in the rear

derailers-not top of the line, but certainly good quality

seat- this is my ONLY MAJOR COMPLAINT! the seat is so uncomfortable. to be honest it looks bad too

Bottom Line:
AWESOME BIKE!!!!this bike is ready for anything u throw it.Norco shore hardtails are awesome bikes and this certainly is not an exception. some componants are not top of the line, but for the price, deffinetly worth it.obviously if someone wanted a norco like this but with better components, theres the other shore hardtails.i bought this bike because i was just getting into dj/urban/freeride and i didnt want to get the top of the line.great bike to learn stuff on, but then again this bike is just waiting to be decked out with better components later.this bike is awesome for any kind of mtb riding other than xc. this bike is built to last and i would suggest it to anyone other than an xc rider.
