Strengths: strong frame cased a jump riped back wheel an hub off frame was perfect after. broke the marzocchi z1 it had broke the right stantion.turns heads not very many like it around here. good bike for trails a little freeride street an xc
Weaknesses: old, have to have chain tenstioner to have it singlespeed.
Bottom Line:
awesome bike not very many that i know of iv only seen one other one since i got this bike. good all around bike can climb hills drop the big drops jump in the skate park or just get from point A to B.
Strengths: strong ass frame, i only purchased the frame so essentially just a frame review. i've hucked, dropped, jumped, over-shot, and cased this bike into about damn near everything in this town and it's still begging for more abuse.
Weaknesses: none in the frame, maybe inherently heavy cuz it's heavy gauge steel tubing. about 38.5 lbs. with my setup
Weaknesses: oh god where do i start, ok the hubs are the worst pices of crap i ever used, they just randomly fall apart. i managed to wear out a chain rear deralier casette all at once. wheels buckle easily, and i mean easily. the rigid forks kill your wrists, the stem looks f*** ugly the tioga tyres are usless, theframe chips as easy as, the pedals die in weeks, the bottom bracket suck ass, the cranks are also pices of poo, the grips are way to harsh on your hands, the v-brakes are ugly and crap. thats about it but all this crap mentioned here is gone thank god and the bike now(or whats left of it) rides as sweet as.oh and the ddg seat rails snap... for no reason.
Bottom Line:
everything is rubbish accept the bars seatpost and the headset... so yeh my bike is now like a pro build becuase everything had to be replaced i dont care though it just gave me an excuse to buy loads of expensive parts. its now cost me 1580£ to build

Strengths: strong reliable
Weaknesses: u gotta be kidding!
Bottom Line:
great bike i love it good geomitry i would suggest changing the forks to suspension (dirt jumpers do nicley) once the forks are changed it makes it alot eiser to ride and jump. its just agreat bike alround. its best on golf corses he he he he....its great fun jumping over sand bunkers but make sure you use panaracer spike tires for maximum green rip up its awsme fun that'll teach em to have such a boring hobby old gits! o sorry anyway great bike the best dirt jumper ive ever used:)
Purchased At: intension cycles now known as i bikes

Bike Setup: kona scab 2003 frame, azonic equilizer stem (dh) truvativ cranks, zocchi dirt jumper 3 2005,kona dh bars, continuiously changing tires about once a month, sun rims ditch witch. shes my baby i loove her.
Strengths: strong, reliable, and good componants. also disc hubs are included so you can put on discs whenever you want. it comes with great rims it all adds up to one hell of a strong bike.
Weaknesses: it is a tad heavy but this is only because of the steel frame. the pedals are not great because the bearings go within weeks. also the tires are a bit of a soft compound for use on road.
Bottom Line:
if you want a urban jump bike that is near industructable this is youre bike. i would suggestgetting disc brakes like i will as the v brakes arnt great. its a great bike go out and buy one!
Strengths: seems like a really nice smooth ride. very nicely put together, looks very nice, and is as strong as a tank!
gear change is also nice and smooth in both directions
Weaknesses: chipped paint, does happen well easily.
All i have to do is drop my bike on it (the scabs my girls but i ride it too, otherwise it aint gonna get ANY proper use) and mine comes away with no marks and hers looks like its been shot. at close range. with a 12 guage!
Bottom Line:
Its a wicked bike.
I would recommend it over my bike (fireball) but then they are in different price ranges by about £100.
I have taken it out and thrown it about, jumped it, used it over obstacles and pretty much everything really and havent had a single problem from it
It feels like a much more expensive bike. It feels like a proper bike that wont break the moment you spaz it off a wall a bit wrong... unlike my arm:/
kinda wish i had got one of these actually but the girl got in the shop first and bought it and there was no way we were having his and hers scabs (sounds like an STI!!!)

Strengths: really stong frame
Weaknesses: tooo heavy, worst tyre clearance, bad wheels
Bottom Line:
do not buy this bike it may be strong enogh to handle dh and ns but cannot do it with the tyre clearance. you will get fed up with the tyre clearance and will sell it soon. not worth the hassle. go for a norco or something different

Strengths: Frame is REALLY Strong, Sweet Geometry, Easy to handle on obstacles
Weaknesses: Tire clearance is small, paint chips easy
Bottom Line:
I only bought the frame and built it up myself. It is super strong and has on-the-spot geometry. I would really like to get a fatter tire in the rear, (I run a 2.00 now) and make sure you get a chainstay protector because the paint chips easy. But those are the only real negative things about it. It is super stable when riding skinnies and logs and just looks badass. It was cheap too! I would definalty recommend it to anyone who wants a strong frame.

Strengths: Back to basics bike. Strong flawless steel bike that holds everything. Really cheap, amazing value. Very pretty to look at.
Weaknesses: None for begginers or people who knows what are buying.
Bottom Line:
Plain bike. Perfect for begginers like me or bikers looking for a strong and simple bike that helps to understand and love street/trials biking. Good as it comes but with a whole way to improve with you. If you still can find one go for it (04 scab model is as everythin else). A bike to keep for years.
Bike Setup: Marzocchi basic 04 suspension fork. In next future i will add hydraulic disck brakes and take out some gears i never use.

Strengths: the frame is as tough as hell may weight the same as a patriot but i love it excellent bike to learn on this was my first bike
Weaknesses: the cranks bent after a month of riding the forks had no flex would be better if they were carbon forks upgraded fork to 2001 z5 fly light airs (thanks kit) those v's hated rain and water upgraded to front deore and rear cable disc i thought the seat was a bit too big for dj so i change that for a funky planet-X one didn't like the long cage alvivio rear mech so got a small cage 8 speed mech gonna upgrade to 9 speed later when i change cranks and finally the jacks4!t pedals suck the bearings went in a matter of weeks
Bottom Line:
excellent Street\trials\dirt jump bike (original set up was good for trails) tough @$$ frame excellent value for money another good product from the guys at kona learnt in a month to ride thanks to this bike and my teacher jamie the best street rider in basingstoke but sadly only gets 4 chilis in overall rating due to cranks and pedals
Similar Products Used: none i dont think theres any steel frame like this one this ones both strong but light
Bike Setup: basic setup with excalibur back wheel with cable disc deaore v's on the front z5 flylight airs planet-x seat and thats all i done so far i'll put another review up with my when i get it all upgraded

Strengths: This is a great bike and is really cheap. Everything on it is great, the frame could fall off a cliff and not break. The brakes are good for V-brakes and the cranks are particulary could too- I like the bashguard. The fork is good but I'm still gonna get a dirt jumper 3. Truly awesome bike.
Weaknesses: Not much, just minor weaknesses- tire clearance really needs to be improved- can't fit over 2.1 (even the 2.1 catches the frame sometimes). Rims could be stronger (mine buckled slightly after going off a 2 foot drop) and the paint comes off easily. Other than that it's great!
Bottom Line:
This is one of my favourite bikes. It is the perfect bike to upgrade, but it is also billiant with original parts. Thats what is so good I think- every one i've seen has been modified differently- some people have put on suspension, others disc-brakes. You don't have to upgrade this bike to make it good though. I've had this bike for 1 month now as new and all the parts are great. I especially like the bombproof frame, the grippy tyres, the brilliant V-brakes, the great pedals, the cranks and the cool handle bars (the list goes on). The minor weaknesses such as the tyre clearance only matter really to an absolute perfectionist. For normal people like me, there is nothing wrong with it. May I just say that this bike looks alot better than in magazines- the bike looks way better in real life. If you want a dirt/street/just about anything bike than this is for you, and if you want a more expensive bike, just buy this and upgrade it! And finally, lots of people say this bike is heavy, but it's by far the lightest steel bike i've ever seen. If you want it any lighter than you have to sacrifice the strength and get aluminium. This bike gets an 99.999% rating (tyre clearance, strong rims and chap-proof paint would give it the extra 0.001%) Best hardtail bike in it's range. GET ONE!

Strengths: Great strong frame. i got the bike from a dealer who is also a friend so i didnt have orignal parts on it but i still have a pretty basic setup for the time being. Ok iv had the bike in the shop a lot becuz of my cranks but that was not the bikes fualt i had my old cranks put on and they just broke. So i got new cranks and the bike is SWEET. It handles every drop/crash iv done. The frame is like a rock.
Weaknesses: NONE
Bottom Line:
The botom line is, this bike handles anything. you could throw it off a 30 ft. drop and just have scratches. I love my bike and never plan on goin back to full suspension (unless they come out with a really light one) becuz this hardtail kicks some major @$$. If your a trail rider and wanna ride trails and do drops or if you wanna do some urban and just play in the street then this bike is for you.
Good price on a steel jumper frame, $179.
Only bad thing is that the rear tire clearance max's out at a Tioga Factory DH 2.1, so no fat 2.3+ in this frame.
