Strengths:    good riding comfort bike, very responsive brakes, nice suspension seatpost

Weaknesses:    can"t get replacement parts, rst front suspension shock quality very poor, excessive bushing wear with MINIMAL off road use

Bottom Line:
the timberline gt hardtail rides out good for a base-to-midline comfort bike. some good features, i/e shifters, gearset, adjustable stem, suspension seatpost. and also some poor features, i/e RST SUSPENSION FORK (perhaps the worst i've ridden), and uncomfortable seat. bottom line-dont buy, unless you don't ride much.....NO PARTS OEM PARTS AVAILABLE!!!!!

GT Timberline issue.. ?

So my GT makes a ticking/rubbing noise as it rolls whether I am peddling or not.. It only does it under load (with me on it) and it goes away if I lean the bike to my left... Thoughts?Read More »

6'6 290lbs, Specialized Hardrock 29 or GT Timberline 2.0 29?

Hi guys, I'm New to the forum and I am considering buying a bike but I have been away from bikes for over a decade now and have lost touch with what's good. A lot of high end brands from my youth are now the low end bikes you see in major retail stores. There are 2 bikes I am currently considering ... Read More »

Jamis Trail X2 vs GT Aggressor 1.0 vs GT Timberline 1.0

I'm looking to get back into biking after a 15 year break. I've narrowed down my bike choices to a few models (there's not much choice where I am in my price range). So I'm looking for any and all opinions on which might be a good one to get. Jamis Trail X2 G ... Read More »
