Strengths: Handling: Handles pretty well. I do like my hardtail better obviously but overall its done what ive asked of it and more.
Climbing: This frame climbs like a champ once i upgraded the rear shock to a fox rp2. The stock manitou QL was not to my liking. Not to mention it leaked and didnt hold air.
Weight: I got this frame with a chris kind headset, xt m737 cranks and a xt front derailuer. I am impressed by the overall weight with those parts on it. I since have upgraded my bike with better components. It looks heavy because it has a large downtube, but its not.
Weaknesses: Rear shock needs an upgrade.
Bottom Line:
This is a wonderful bike. It feels like the superlight i had. I would highly recommend it to anyone thats looking for a Full suspension setup at a cheaper price.

Strengths: Light, simple single pivit design, smooth welds, durable paint, and most of all price.
Weaknesses: Some flex in rear in hard truns and druing hard cranking
Bottom Line:
I am very surprized in this bikes handeling and speed. I keep looking over the bike after every ride thinking I am going to crack the frame. I am 235 and I love to ride hard and fast. I have droped off 2' ledges with no problem. I have gone over this bike with a fine tooth comb and each weld is smooth and perfect. I have have ridden this bike in a time trial and rode it as hard as I could and not even a creak out of the frame. Heck my 2003 2600.00 s-work enduro made more squeeks. With a 5 year replacment warrantee you cant go wrong. I have already got my moneys worth out of it in the last few months. It is amazing that SuperGo and produce a quality product for such a great price. It is even made with higher grade aluminum than Santa Cruz super light and has idenetical geometry. I bet the shipping for Santa Cruz cost more than this bike cost even with a Muntano lock out shock. I will get sick of looking at it before the warrantee runs out. Great buy if you can get your hands on one. SuperGo seems to having a hard time keeping the frames only in stock they sell so fast. I run alex DH rims because of my 235 lbs keeps tweaking the numerous pairs of Mavic rims I have had in the past. So far so good. Knock on wood.

Strengths: 2004 Weyless SP has the Manitou QRL -- another nice shock from the Answer folks. Good welds, sharp black paint job, subtle graphics, nice CNC millwork on swingarm and rear dropouts.
Weaknesses: Wish the top tube were just a bit longer on my medium frame. Only has one water bottle mount (just fine for me to carry a bottle of Cytomax juice along with water in a hydration pack) but some riders may need a second mount.
Bottom Line:
This is the 2004 Weyless SP with the Manitou QRL. I bought it as a frameset and threw on components left over when I sold the chain-sucking Fisher Sugar and also bargains that I'd found on Ebay. It's sorta the backup to the Intense Spider. I'm riding it for training and on muddy days. It also serves as a loaner to a (lucky) friend of mine. I'm happy with the ride. It handles well and the rear suspension is nice and supple, yet not much bobbing. The lockout works fine on the QRL, also. With the Pythons mounted on the Mavic hoops, it weighs 25.3 pounds on digital shop scales. The Panaracers make it a 25.8 pounder. For the sake of comparison, the Spider is similarly equipped and weighs 25.3 with a 100mm travel fork and Michelin UST tires. I'd say that puts the SP within a pound of the $2000 Spider frameset. I would gladly buy the Supergo frame again. It's quite a lot of fun and has the feel of a bike costing way more than its $500 pricetag. Of course a lot of this has to do with the components.
Before I got the bike, I was sure I would want to remove its stickers, but now I could care less. The bike looks good and rides great. It's earned its keep.
Similar Products Used: Intense Spider (the gray Superbike looks damn good next to the humble, unassuming Weyless and vice versa). Gary Fisher Sugar 1 and Supercaliber. Countless relics.

Strengths: The welds are beefy. The paint does not chip.
Weaknesses: The swingarm flexed to the left and placed a quarter inch deep dent in the seat tube. Now im sending the frame back to supergo for a replacement and upgrading to the 04 model. THe manitou QL is for sure a weakness. Mine blew up the second time I rode the bike. I put a FOX coil on it, and have had no problems since. Im thinking now that the frame flex was at fault for the QL going bang.
Bottom Line:
Cheap, Low maintenance, Good looking, Ready to go for a ride when you want to, and doesn't weigh too much. -hmm weyless should make girlfriends.
Low budget riders who need a tough bike should consider one of these. Gram counting techno weenies should spend a thousand dollars more for a conformist big name bike.
And thats the bottom line, cause Stone Cold said so.

Strengths: incredible value for the $$. i assembled it with a bunch of take off parts i've had in a box for months. ride is awesome. lot's of talk this year about anti-bob, virtual pivot points, s.p.v. valves etc. this frame has no pogoing at all without any of the above technology. i've never gone for full suspension before because i hate inefficient climbing. i owned a diamond bacK V10 but never really liked it- too much squish. i demo'd a sugar but it climbed like a contrete block. the weyless climbs the steepest singletrackas well as my hardtail with all the benefits of full suspension when descending. efficient, comfortable stable and fun. truly a great riding frame
Weaknesses: beats me.
Bottom Line:
simply a awesome frame. love the ride. the crazy low price is an added bonus.

Strengths: This is the black 2004 Weyless SP model with Manitou rear shock. great updated (attention to detail)2004 SP single pivot design, great welds, comes in black, can easily use 8" disc brakes, lock out on rear shock, smart looks, handles excellent, great price.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Bottom Line:
This review is for the 2004 Weyless SP. I'm impressed by the quality of this frame and the attention to detail. There is plenty of room in the rear for 8" disc brakes, the welds are excellent, paint scheme looks great, it handles well, and it costs at least 50% less than a Santa Cruz and comes with a 5 year warranty. I like the fact that Performance Bicycle now owns Supergo as well.

Strengths: Price, Reliability.
Weaknesses: no supergo's on the east coast
Bottom Line:
Definitely worth the cash. I've been riding this bike harder and harder and the tires keep getting wider, and the psi keeps gettin lower, and I keep going higher and faster and the bike just keeps surprising me. No maintenance required this season I've never ridin a bike one whole season w/out something going wrong. If you're interested in a bike that will make you a better rider and not so much the "status" this is your bike.

Strengths: Ridiculous price for a fantastic ride. Very smooth, plenty stiff laterally due to big pivots and beefy rear triangle. I've crashed hard on it many times (it inspires confidence beyond the level of rider ability) and have bent or broken nothing.
Weaknesses: Manitou QL lockout never worked. But the bike doesn't bob, so what do I need it for anyway? Shock was also very sticky until I rebuilt it - like buttah evah since. But that's a subject for a Manitou review, not Weyless.
Bottom Line:
Can't say enough great things about this bike! Laugh while can, label-snooty monkey-boy. Don't worry - I'll be waiting at the top. And I'll wait again at the bottom.
Strengths: lightweight, PRICE, and the bundled manitou QL
Weaknesses: none, yet
Bottom Line:
For the price, I don't see how you can beat this frame. Admittedly I've only had it for a week, but I've been riding it every day and its leaps and bounds ahead of my old hardtail. Initially I was going to steer clear of the FS XC bike due to concerns about power-loss while climbing, but with this lockout (which, indeed does actually work) theres no problems. Actually, with the lockout disengaged and the rear QL in full suspension mode (or whatever) it still climbs quite well. Really the only place you notice the QL is when you hit the ground after a drop, in which case your smile broadens at it goes "SQUUUUUIIIISHHH" and you continue riding unscathed. Over all, it rules.

Strengths: good fork up front, brakes work well, and seat is good. the full suspension works wonders for cross country riding and down hill decents. the bike has very good control!
Weaknesses: bottom bracket welds have cracked on me twice. supergo is good about replacing the frame.
Bottom Line:
for the price the bike is good. however, i am not pleased about the frame welds on the bottom bracket. other then that the bike is awsome and race ready.

Strengths: This bike gives you a smooth ride in small and large obstacles (for me that's 3 to 4 feet), it's lightweight, climbs with ease, has a descent paint job, and best of all it's affordable.
Weaknesses: I had to do a little filing to fit the derailler hanger flush in the frame. The welding could be "prettier", but who cares as long as it holds to abuse.
Bottom Line:
Apart from the filing to install the hanger, I've been completely satisfied with this rig. For the small amount of money I spent (approximately $650.00) I was able to put together a pretty decent full suspension bike that can hold it's own with the $2,000+ bikes my friends own.
Bike Setup: It's a mix of parts from my old hard tail. Full XT (9 speed). I had to buy a top pull front derailler, M750 V-brakes, Truvativ ISIS cranks, Wellgo MG-18 Pedals, Hell bent handlebars.

Strengths: Price, Single Pivot Design.
Weaknesses: None Yet
Bottom Line:
Buy the frame and build it up. When you first get the bike make sure all the bolts are tightened down (not over tight though) this is important!! I think that's why some people are saying they get lateral flex in the frame aside from that this bike kicks ass for real. I feel the power of saving coin and having an increased ability a light, strong climber. Who cares what it looks like, my bike has a red fork on the front w/the blue frame I look like Capt. America, but I’m looking behind me. My riding level is up a notch or two with this bike. Buy it and you'll see.

Strengths: This review is for the frame only. Smooth active suspension at the right times at a low price. Simple design and easy to maintain. This frame rides well on high speed single tracks Also it climes well and lockout is nice for technical up hills.
Weaknesses: I did have some issues with the head bolt which mounts the front of the shock to the frame. Supergo was not very helpful regarding this issue. The problem was not the frame itself but the hardware used to attach the shock to the frame. I filed down one of the bushings to reduce the width of the total width of the bushings that the shocks pilots on. This provided a much snugger fit (shock does not slide side to side on the bushings) and now it is no longer a problem.
Bottom Line:
For 500 bucks I am happy with this product despite the head bolt issue. It's not a top of the line frame but the price makes it a good deal to performance ratio. It is definitely fast.

Bottom Line:
Don't buy this bike if you are a bike snob! This being Supergo's house brand some bike weenies will look down upon you! If you don't give a furry rats a$$ BUY THIS BIKE! Very stable platform, smooth rear suspension complements the Marzocchi. Rear lockout is nice but I don't use it much. Not the prettiest welds but so far appear to be holding up well. I ride a wide variety of trails in So Cal from rocky single track to fast fireroads, it works well on everything. This is a sweet ride. And for the weight weenies - 25.75lbs.
