Favorite Trail:Any place with good jumps and drops to hit
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:It is strong with six and six it feels really light and is easy to pedal uphill. It is also very plush and it soaks up everything I throw at it.
Weaknesses:have not found any yet

Bike Setup:Sram xo shifters and derailleur
Bottom Line:This is an amazing bike for the price it is really smooth and easy to pedal uphill. This is my first freeride/dh rig so i do not know what it is like compared to other freeride/dh rigs. If you want to do heavy trailriding this bike is not for you but this bike is for the person who does everything.

Submitted by Eric Lesage a Weekend Warrior from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
Date Reviewed: October 9, 2003
Favorite Trail:anything big or steep going down
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $2600.00
Purchased At:cyclelogic in Ottawa
Strengths:Stiff ride, excellent setup for freeriding, altough only six inch of travel max, bike is perfect for downhill, can be pedaled uphill can take pretty much anything you throw at it. Set up for DH with 6 inches of travel front and rear but still can be setup for easy x-country, 8 inch disc brakes, 2,5 inch tires, truvativ isis bb and race face prodigy crank with bash-guard, sherman breakout with 1.5 inch steerer and vanilla rc shock
Weaknesses:rear derailleur close to chaine stays, hits and makes a big "clang" sound when going big, chain derailles easily when landing a drop or jumping.
Similar Products Used:...
Bike Setup:removed front derailleur and granny chainring and replaced it with mrp mini-me chain guide, replaced the K2 pedales with shimano M-646 DX, rest of the bike is stock
Bottom Line:It lets you ride whatever you want and however you want, its the perfect bike for someone who wants a bike that can do it all without the limitations of a downhill rig. It can be pedalled uphill with a little more effort than xc rig but if climbing a bit to be able to go downhill isn't an option this is the bike for the job.

Favorite Trail:VAPOR@CRAWFORD
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $1600.00
Purchased At:LARRYS CYCLE
Strengths:1.5,6" UP FRONT, SOLID FRAME, 4-5-6 REAR TRAVEL,NICE TIGHT COCKPIT
Weaknesses:NOT YET AQUIRED
Similar Products Used:KONA STINKY
Bike Setup:INTENSES,MANATOU SHERM1N 1.5,HAYS 8IN F,R,AZONIC PEDALS AND THE REST STOCK, TELESCOPING SEAT POST"A MUST"
Bottom Line:I HAVE ONLY BEEN RIDING THIS YEAR,AND BASICALLY ONLY 2-3 TIMES EVERY TWO WEEKS. I BAUGHT A STINKY WITH A ZI DROP OFF
AND I LOVED IT COMING OFF A CCM.BUT DAMB IT THE CHAIN WAS ALWAYS COMING OFF AND I COULD NEVER GET A PROPER GEAR FOR DOWNHILL. I SEEN THE K2 WHILE I WAS ON A RIDE WITH ROD FROM LARRYS CYCLE AND I TRIED IT.MAN THIS THING WAS PLUSH. SO I TRADED MY KONA FOR THE K2. THIS HAS TIGHT TURNS AND GOING DOWN THE HILL IS JUST LIKE GOING DOWN A ROAD.FOR ALL THE FORTY POUNDS OR MORE THIS THING WAYS WITH THE INTENSE TIRES AND 8 IN ROTORS IN THE REAR. THIS THING CLIMBS EVEN I 6 IN TRAVEL MODE. I CLIMBED TO THE OUTHOUSE TRAIL WITHOUT GOING INTO MY SMALL RING GEAR IN FRONT AND BIG ONE IN BACK.SO I HAVE A BASH GAURD COMING TO REPLACE MY SMALL RING GEAR. THIS THNG KICKS A#?. 6 AND 6 IS NICE
