I highly recommend this bike for the serious mountain biker. It's probably a bit too expensive for the occasional user. It has handled the pounding of the trail without any problems (other that a flat tire). The braking and shifting systems are awesome. The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes are working great and provide smooth dependable braking. The frame design can be difficult (not impossible) to load onto a rack. This bike has a great "feel" to it.
