Strength:

The best strenth of this product is its price, diamond back tend to give you reasonably good components for every dollar spent you dont seem to pay for the name as much. On the XTS MOTO the best component would have to be the 6-way swinger at the rear followed by the Jr T's up front + mad stopping with the Hayes Hydrolics running 8in rotors

Weakness:

I love this bike but am getting tired of replacing rear suspension bushes (3 times 1 year) suppose this is normal for the jumps and size of the drops I ask of it maybe more time should have been spent on this little part at factory level otherwise bike stood up to some pretty sick airs

Buy this bike if you want value for money dont buy it if you want it to handle >3m drops to flat. Most of my friends race and they get pissed when I blitz them on a bike worth 1/2 of their value. I really like this bike but maybe should have brought the STRIKE but no complaints for what I paid :)

Bang for the Buck! Can't believe the componentry on this bike for $2000. Great spec.

Weakness:

Only weakness I have found is in the shock mount. Had to replace the lower shock bolt after the first ride. Also had to find some .5mm spacers to go in on same bolt. Was getting some side-play in that lower shock mount. Now the bike rides awesome.

Great bike at a great price. There is a little bit of brake jack, but hopefully Therapy will do a floating disc kit and that should fix that problem. At $2000 even if you have to tack on $300 for a floating disc it is still a great deal.

this bike is great.i just bought the frame/rear shock.the frame is big and burrly and im not afraid to crack it. the fox vanilla RC is smooth. the pivots are all sealed and it runs good.

Weakness:

the only weeknesses i have seen so far is that the cartridge on the rear shock would hit a peice of the swing arm and stop the travle amd the spring is way to stiff for me i only wiegh about 120 and the spring is a 700-2.30

bottom line tis bike kick ass so far and i am having fun on it i have not really been able to do much downhill beacuse of the stiff spring but i have done some freeride like a 7 and 8 footer drop

This bike is neetest thing since soft toilet paper. It has good parts and wont brake the bank. Everything is good on it even the seat I think it is like a pillow for my terd cutter.

Weakness:

This bike has the crappy of crap grips. Otherwise there actually not to bad that is just my opinion and I dont really want anyone to base any sort of decision on my opinion. (I dont even like to ride uphill)

The bottom line is allways what the bike shop owners ask the reps to find if the bike is going to make them the good margin. So the bottom line is YES. Buy this bike becouse nobody needs more unless you are better than everbody else, and in that case you dont need a bike you need a counselor. Or maybe you are better than everbody else then hats off to you. Otherwise just buy the bike becouse you want it and no one else matters.

I have tested lots of stuff becouse I am the egocentric bike shop mechanic who has all the cool stuff and rides none of it.

GREAT COMPONENTS FOR THE PRICE. GOOD GEOMETRY.

Weakness:

NEEDS STIFFER FRONT FORK, SUPER T MAYBE? CABLE ROUTING SUCKS, LOSE ALL THE CLIPS AND END UP USING ZIP TIES.

THIS IS A GREAT FREERIDE BIKE FOR ANY TERRAIN. POUNDING THE STREETS URBAN STYLE OR RALLYING SOME SINGLE TRACK AND WOOD WORK. TRIM THE HANDLE BARS/NEW GRIPS/WIDER FRONT TIRE/NON WTB SEAT/AND THROW AN OLD INNER TUBE AROUND THE SWING ARM AND HIT IT!!

cable routing reaks, rims aren't flashy but what can you expect form a bike <3000

awsome bike, buy one if you've grown out of a giant AC and you want a demo 9 or something similar

Good solid fork, much better than 02 Jr. T. Rear susp. is very plush and is an honest amount of travel. Good all around specs.

Weakness:

Contact points-grips(buy new ones while your at the bike shop if you buy it), saddle is pretty uncomfortable, and pedals are not the best.

This is the best bike for the money in its field. Very plush, really stiff, good parts spec, doesn't feel sluggish like a typical DH bike, it feels more like a jacked up trail bike. I have my choice of bikes but I chose this one because you can buy a Bullit frame and Jr. T for what this bike costs. They went cheap on grips and pedals, but it isn't a custom bike so you can't expect everything to be the best. Great bike, highly reccomend it. If you ride trials most of the time and this is your only bike you may want to lighten it up because mine weighed in at a stout 43lbs.

Nice color. The blue really seperates me from the other animals in the woods. Handlebar is nice and wide. Lots of room to mount my gun rack. The bike is really sturdy. Looks like she'll pack out at least a 300lb buck. Real good brakes. I don't like goin very fast so speed control is very important to me. Low gearing is perfect for long climbs out to the "secret spot".

Weakness:

Didn't come with any air in the tires! Damn shifters don't seem to do anything. Neither do any of the screws on the deraylers. (Japaneese Junk I suppose) The bike doesn't steer very well. Turning radius is worse than my '73 RV. Fixed that though. Just cut the tubes off of the front fork so they will clear the frame. Perfecto'. Hopefully they will fix this for next year.

I like the bike but I can see where I would change a couple things that the manufacture over looked. Sure is fun though.

i reviewed this after Interbike last year, and i feel the same, i couldn't be happier with it.

Weakness:

the wait was a bit too long, it kept getting pushed back farther. change the grips right off, and cut the seat post.

great bang for the buck, an out of the box racer.
