Strengths:    U-Turn, travel, rebound speed adjustment

Weaknesses:    very soft original coil for freeride and dirt jump etc. Oil is leaking pretty badly.

Bottom Line:
with all the bad things this rockshox rocks if you change the coil, perfect for beginners and amateurs.

Submitted by Thomas a Weekend Warrior from Austin, TX

Date Reviewed: July 8, 2003

Strengths:    U-Turn, adjustable travel. L-o-n-g travel. Pretty stiff.

Weaknesses:    feels a little heavy, but it is an OEM piece.

Bottom Line:
This fork is the nicest one I've ever owned. OK, that's not saying much, and I'm not a hardcore downhiller, so maybe I just don't have high enough expectations. That being said, for single-track and weekend XC or just toolin' around this fork is great. Yeah, the "C" designation means OEM, but it's damn close to being the XC version (minus external rebound adjustment / thru axel). I guess I could spend extra money and upgrade to what-ever but there's really no reason to. If it comes on your next bike, give it a chance!
