Strengths: Easy to adjust (and adjustments actually work-unlike too many other low-to-mid range forks!), smooth compression, relatively light (for its class) with magnesium housingWeaknesses: No rebound damping adjustmentBottom Line: Solid all-around mid-price XC fork. Does all I ask of it smoothly and consistently. It reacts well to my 170# with the stock spring. Soaks up the small stuff and hasnot bottomed on up to about 3 ft drops. But (as with most forks) larger riders may want to change to a stiffer spring. It's not marketed as a serious DH or FR fork, so look elsewhere if that is what you seek.

Strengths: Adjustable travel. Good plush feeling.Weaknesses: A bit of flex when at 108mm travel, but still very firm overall.Bottom Line: Excellent fork for those who mix it up between uphill, downhill and cross-country. Not for the serious downhiller, but more than adequate for weekend and after-work riding. I've never been let down by them yet!

Strengths: Its easy to adjust, smooth over rocks and roots. Easy to perform maintenance on.Weaknesses: Came with fairly weak springs. Fairly heavy on my otherwise light weight bike. Can't adjust rebound rate.Bottom Line: I haven't had any mechanical problems with this fork as of yet. I've taken 5 foot dropoffs without it breaking. It did bottom out a lot until I put in a stiffer spring. Overall, if it didn't come with my bike I wouldn't have bought it.

Strengths: NoneWeaknesses: Bottoms out on first little bump in trail. Slow to recover after compression. And, oh yeah, IT BROKE!!!!Bottom Line: If you're a pure pavement rider you could use this shock but I don't advise it. I took a 20 foot drop and the thing snapped in two. To me that would be a bad sign, when I go trailling I need a shock that can keep up with my riding habits. This shock is !@#$ sh*t.
