Strengths:    Strong and lightweight aluminum frame. Good brakes and pedals. Weighs only 24 pounds, great for racing.

Weaknesses:    One piece crank (2003 model, 2004 model now has three-piece crank and is only $10 more)

Bottom Line:
This is a great first time race bike. It is light, strong, easy to ride, and handles the track very well. The price is very good for how nice of a bike it is, and the 2004's are even better and only $10 more. Though if you are taller I DO recommend you take a test ride before buying, it is a relatively small bike (19.5 inch top tube) but I am 5'11" and I fit fine. I actually like the smaller size. Overall a very tough, very light, and very good race bike.

Strengths:    Strong, light frame, excellent for trails and dirt jumping. Nice, big sprocket for speed. Nice chainstay. Solid, solid headset, welgo alloy pedals, the grips. The whole bike!

Weaknesses:    NONE! But if your heavy, the cranks.

Bottom Line:
This is a perfect bike for dirt jumpers, trail riders, and racers. THIS IS NOT A STREET OR FLATLAND BIKE! It's so unbelievably fast, that I pass cars in my neighborhood. YOU CAN GET THE MOST AIR AND DISTANCE ON THIS THING IN THE TRAILS AND THE TRACK. You'll kick the Harro riders' asses on this thing! IT WEIGHS 24 POUNDS! The bike is spacious for tall guys. The confidence in riding is very high, for guys 5'9" to 6'3".

2013 GT Fury 3.0 weight?

So my friend got a new 2013 Gt fury 3.0 for his birth day. He says it's weight is not that heavy. I was looking at the Airborne Toxin today and it's 39.5 pounds. For my first downhill bike I thought it looks pretty good. Especially for $1700. But I'm not sure if 39.5 pounds is to much weight. My que ... Read More »

MC Fury

I am thinking about selling my MC Fury. As my wife and I are splitting up. Since we are splitting up, I might need the money. I really hate thinking about selling it. As it's the best bicycle I ever had. How would someone go about seeing how much the bike is worth? The bike has only been used ... Read More »

'13 GT Fury 3.0 Crash report

hey guys. Took my first and, so far, my only high speed crash on my bike. The bike hit so hard the bump stop on the fork actually dented the hell out of my bike (though these have dented the bike since the day I got it and GT wont acknowledge it.) and bent the fork. Is GT telling me this ... Read More »
