Strengths: Independent Drive, Campy componentsWeaknesses: Getting the front derailuer adjusted just right can take some time.Bottom Line: This is the only way to go for tandems. Indepedent drive is the best thing since sliced bread. If a tandem rider tells you, "you have to be in sync to ride" they have never tried this bike because I used to say that and so did everyone else who owned a coupled tandem before one of these. You stoker want to rest or scoot back on the seat, they can and you don't get your knees blown out. You want to stand and stretch, go ahead. 26" wheels look a little funny at first but they sure accelerate fast. Having 32 gears is great. Can climb anything with the 22 front and go fast on the flats too with the 60. Hardest thing about buying this bike is picking a color. You can have anything you want. Match your car, no problem. How about your house, no problem.
If you can swing it, go the full boat and get the coupled titanium. I plan to get the coupled titanium tandem next and call it the last tandem I will ever buy.
