Strengths:    Value, ease of operation, smooth.

Bottom Line:
This is a great bike for the money. Shifting is smooth. We have not put the bike on the trail, we always ride on pavement. You would need to change the tires since the Samba comes with "city" type tires.
If your thinking about a tandem, give the Samba a try. The bike will work equally well with new riders and those that have ridden a "T" before.
