Strengths: Tough firm bike, superbly hand built in British Columbia, Canada. Fits any riding style and rides excellent on trails or road.Weaknesses: No Rocky Mountain errors. I was only dissapointed with the brakes which I am trying to replace with hydraulic discs.Bottom Line: Amazing bike. I have had this bike for almost three years now and have had it tuned twice. It has an amazing firm feel to it, and can be ridden on trails or road. Of course if one is going to ride on the road, I reccomend the switch to hybrid tires. I am usually a Specialized guy, but when it came down the Specialized Stumpjumper Comp and the Rocky Mountain Trailhead I thought, heck, its built in Canada, I'll give it a shot. This bike has been by far my favourite for casual trail riding.

Strengths: Easton frame, quality handmade product with a background in racing that shows in its product.Weaknesses: Stock components and uncomfortable saddle {personal preferance}Bottom Line: After upgrading a pretty much the entire rig, the bike is race ready for the most part. I do a few endurance races a year and this frame and geomatry is killer. I ride about three times a week at a local x-country loop 2 miles from my house and the only problem I have ever had was a real bad case of chain suck that scared my chainstay behind the midddle ring of my crank, but that was most likely my fault. other than that have had no problems other than I am now having a hard time finding a good chain it seems that all the 8 speed chains that people have reviewed here are pretty crappy. I guess i will have to do a little trial and error on my own to track one down or just upgrade to 9 speed.
After upgrades total cost as the bike is today- $1000
This bike probably would have cost at least 200 to 300 more out of the box, this is without a doubt one of the best cycling deals I have ever seen.
Iwould recomend this bike for anyone who doesnt mind looking for parts to upgrade or if you need a new frame to upgrade to race or just make your buddies play catchup on the trail. Once you swap out a few low grade components this bike will goooooooo!

Strengths: -killer frame, paint, welds, geometry (Easton Ultralite)
-strong 8sp drivetrain
-uniqueWeaknesses: -a little heavy (28 lbs and change)
-"notchiness" of low end components (alivio)
-comes with bear trap pedals

Bottom Line: This is a sweet bike. Despite the notchiness of the low-end 8sp drivetrain, it works and handles abuse. The wheelset (in house built Sun CR18) holds up. Of course the fork, Judy TT, is heavy and not plush and adjustment does nothing to the rebound. I basically learned how to ride on this bike and it has never let me down despite several crashes. A lot of bike for the money (even though it is very far from stock now). I am using a 100mm travel fork now and it definitely changed the geometry of the bike, but nothing bad. Obviously, you don't see Rocky bikes everywhere--so I guess you would stand out if you are into that. Bottom line, get a saddle, pedals, and some shoes and ride until the bike is holding you back.

Strengths: Great component mix for a bike in this price range. Absolutely outstanding frame(I am about 215lbs)
Love the Maple Leaf decaling and the color(Brilliant Blue)Weaknesses: I cannot fathom how Rocky can get so much right, the attention to detail, and then put a seat on this bike that does more than remind you it's a HardtailBottom Line: Great bike, for someone who is starting out XC this bike provides good all around performance at a reasonable price. Would have given the full "flamin' chilis" if not for that Iron Maiden under my ass.

Strengths: Maxxis tires, light, value.
Has mounts for disk brakes.Weaknesses: Front middle sprocket - bent it the 3rd ride.
Front shock does the job.
Bottom Line: Bike looks sharp with the Canadian grafix's.
I feel the voodoo was a better value and product, but since Voodoo's are out, I decided to buy a Canadian bike. In Canada it is the best value to buy Canadian because of the exchange rate to the US.
I ride approx once per week and race 2 times per year. I feel this bike will last me about 2-3 years before major rebuild or upgrade of parts.
