Great bang 4 the buck!!! Marzocchi DJ 1.5's (NOT 2's) Hays mech disks,TruVativ Hussefelt cranks, and a beautiful looking frame. This bike can handle hard urban riding as well as well as back country freeriding and even non competition downhill. This ride doz it all (and for 1340, its pretty hard 2 beat!!!) And hey its made in Canada by people who know about mountain biking. Not in sum dirty factory in korea where most bikes seem to come from. GO FOR HANDBUILT CANADIAN QUALITY!!!

Weakness:

Well the bars work just fine and are strong and beefy but they lack rise and look out of place on this bike. The Hays mech disks are REALLY hard 2 break in. You pretty much have to go find a big hill and bomb down it then apply hard breaking repeadatly in order to break them in. Kinetics tires are not bad but not really intendd for this (north shore) style bike. They are not really 2.35's. Tioga 2.1's are wider. Do yourself a favor and put on sum real 2.3's or even 2.5's. But other than that there have been no mechanical problems. It's as solid as a rock.

My God this bike kicks ass!!! It doz everything. It xc's well, It downhills with confedince and freeride/urbans
very well. There is no better deal for the price. Plus you know you are getting amazing handbuilt quality from peolpe who know how to build bikes well!!! If you are someone who wants to take your biking to the next level without having to pay for one of those girlie dual suspension bikes (which you don't need abd are crap for technical urban riding and tight freeriding) then get your a** onto a rampage and whoop everyone elses a** right offa the mountain!!!

Strength:

Great frame, nice components.

Weakness:

The tires could be fatter.

Great beginner bike that will take the drops, jumps, hucks, and whatever else you can throw at it. Have had some trouble keeping the mech. brakes consistent, it just takes some extra attention. The TruVativ cranks also seem a bit weak, stripped mine out on a drop, but it was replaced no probs. Overall it kicks ass!! Can't ask for better dollar to quality ratio.

everything:the frame, the welds,drop-outs,fork,crank,derailer,brakes,etc. Hardcore canadian performance! Go Norco.

Weakness:

Tires could be a little bigger, and the bar could have a little more rise.

I bought this bike for 400 dollars less at a clear out sale in Vic. I love this bike. It's incredibly solid, tough and really easy to control. Spend a couple of extra bucks on new tires and bar and it'll be killer.

P.S. anybody know how to break in them mech discs? I need help!

Weakness:

I havent really had time to upgrade yet but i suspect a some beastier wheels and ill see what next. I love this bike. I can just play around on it and ride it. It is sweet! Ive put the bike off some pretty good drops and it fellt really good. Compared to the Stuff upgraded to a Z1 and XTR i think I like this one better so far. I love the Canadian hardtails! Not much more I can say other than i really like this bike alot. if ur going to get a freeride hardtail chack this out. Its pretty fun

The 2002 norco rampage is tought enough to laugh off the drops, and spec’d with the parts that won’t let you down when you need them the most. The Marzocchi Dirt Jump 2 fork will soak up the front, while your skills takes care of the rest. It's an ausome bike that everyone will love. if ur a downhiller a dirt jumper or a cross-country kind of guy, then this bike is for you.

Weakness:

The tires could be a little bigger, and the bar could have a little more rise to it.

I love this bike. It's incredibly solid, tough and i find it really easy to control. The minite i first demoed this bike i fell in love with it and i had to buy it. For two years I had no problems with it and it's easy to say that the 2002 norco rampage will last me for another 2 years or so.
