Strengths: Light, stiff, unbreakable, nice set up.Weaknesses: Tioga 1.8 tiresBottom Line: Best fast rolling and climbing I ever had. Did many of trails in Utah more suited for all mountain or dual suspension bikes, but this bike and all its components never failed.
No way i'm gonna get rid of it, will eventually upgrade for disc brakes, and replace weared out parts, but the frame is priceless.
Favorite Trail: 2 many to mention
Duration Product Used: More than 3 years
Price Paid:
$1600.00
Purchased At: Le Pédalier
Similar Products Used: Never had such a good bike before
Bike Setup: All stock except tires replaced with Michelin semi slicks and IRC Serac/Mythos, and FSA headset. Replaced the weared out cassette for a lighter SRAM.

Strengths: super light, xtr/xt drivetrain, tubeless system, did i mention super lightWeaknesses: skinny tires (but they are the tioga superlights so you be the judge)Bottom Line: this bike is sweet, no doubt about it. you can fly on this. and based on my other experiences with kona, this bike will take a hell of a lot of punishment on the trails... bottom line, this it the best racing bike i have ever ridden

Strengths: This thing rocks it corners awesome and is way more aggressive on the climbs and down hills than my Rocky Mountain. It is supper lite infact it's so light people like to make fun of me because it's so lite.Weaknesses: Zip-zero-zilch but that only if you think that 21 pounds isn't a weaknessBottom Line: Foget looking around this is the bike for you it's fast nimble and aggressive.

Strengths: Light weight, good mix of components, good handling.Weaknesses: The skinny Tioga tiresBottom Line: Great bike as soon as you lose the skinny 1.8 tires, replace them with something bigger and you see a great improvement in cornering speed. The bike is not nervous but goes exactly where you point it to. This bike is one of the best race bikes I have ever tried. It really flies up the hills and does great in the single-track stuff. I replaces the Avid brakes by XTR ones to get a bit better modulation.
I would have give it 5 starts if not for the tires
Duration Product Used: Less than 1 month
Similar Products Used: Cannondale Super V 700, Cannondale CAD3 hardtail, Rocky Mountain The Edge, Giant carbon hardtail.
Bike Setup: I only changed the brakes for XTR, the rear casette for a XT 11-32, and the tires for Conti's Explorer Pro's
