Strengths:    Looks good in midnight blue, is good strong frame, and has a nice handlebar setup and decent brakes. was a good birthday present :). also has 2 drinks cages

Weaknesses:    I had to send it back because the bottom bracket kept working loose, but iti got it replaced. this probably damaged the crank hole for the bolt from the casette, and is the reason why om gonna replace it. could do with more reliable derallieurs for uphill work

Bottom Line:
Although im only 16 and havent tried all that many bikes i still think it is a very good bike for the money (I spent a lot of time researching bikes before my choice) good for light to medium offroad and not too over the top for road riding round town.

Strengths:    Feels secure, comfortable seat, good steering, paintjob looks decent, ready to ride without anything needing to be upgraded or replaced immediately.

Weaknesses:    Poor slippy grips, drivetrain rattles, poor gear shifting - especially uphill, cheap platform pedals. Initial problems with Acera rear mech.

Bottom Line:
Good bike, upgrade the components you're unhappy with.

-

After not riding for around 6/7 years I wanted a bike that would be fairly resilent, look fine, and not need anything big replaced immediately for light/medium off road use. I looked at Claud Butler, Giant, and Kona bikes around £300 - settling on Kona after looking at online reviews, especially the Lanai and Hahanna, which were in my price range.

The choice between a Lanai or Hahanna came down to seeing them both alongside each other in Halfords, and feeling that the brake levers and overall quality of the components on the Lanai sucked ass. My Kona Hahanna cost £287.

Overall it feels like a decent bike, I'm confident to ride it through pretty much anything I come across - I'd recommend it to anyone who wanted a bike for light or medium offroad use in this price range. Possible fork upgrades, and drivetrain/component upgrades could make the bike feel great.

Halfords customer service has been poor though, with badly adjusted components - staff haven't really inspired much confidence when the drivetrain etc were set up in a below average way. Lose one value point for that sh1t. I'd rather buy from a LBS in future.

Strengths:    frame, tyres ,looks good, precise handling

Weaknesses:    seat, handlebars

Bottom Line:
bought at halfords for £280(also £50 of free bits)what a deal...nothing comes close.the bars were too wide so i chopped an inch off each side, doing this i found out they were steel!!!!they have been replaced with club roost alloy.the seat is not good for long runs, its cheap and hurts your arse..but hey who care at this price...just get a new one.it handles well, feels safe even when doing like a maniac downhill.i will be replacing it with a smaller frame cindercone next year, this hahanna is so good its making me wanna do jumps and things, the frame is a bit big when it goes wrong.get one yourself, make sure you have 4inches free over the frame when standing..then give it some stick
