Strengths:    Pretty much bomb proof, Went over the bars many times and nothing breaks.

Weaknesses:    Cheesy seat w/post, needs chain stay and stronger chain. You have to change the rear tire to one size smaller or it will rub eventually.

Bottom Line:
I had a full suspention and moved to a hard tail. I love this bike. It is very versatile from single track to down hill.

Not much you cant do with this. Go hard Go fast, Go BIG!

Weaknesses:    seat too high, i cut the top inch and a 1/2 off the seat post tube and lowered the seat clamp - better now.
front derailer - muslim ssshiite, worth changing.

Strengths:    Really Strong Bike, Im only a light guy but i gotta mate whos got one and hes real big and its held up to him as well...

Weaknesses:    could really do with a bashring mine didnt come with one and im sick of finishing a ride with my leg resembling a badly packed kebab, seats a bit uncomfortable over long periods as well

Bottom Line:
Really Good Bike all round, a few improvements which will probably b fixed up in the next series of bikes...would recommend a chainguide or bashring.

It seems like a better bike than my ICS 5.0 but i purchased the other one because im poor. If i had a whole lot of money i would have purchased this one.

Strengths:    This bike rocks! I love the Hayes disc brakes, and the geometry feels so great! Haro really knows thier riders, and you can tell that thier bikes have a proven geometry and proven componentry for riding at your best! The best hard-tail bike I've ever ridden!

Weaknesses:    Haven't had any!

Bottom Line:
You can't get a better bike for the money, I ride this bike everywhere, and for a hard-tail, this bike does everything and goes anywhere. It is heavy for some people, but super strong, and I just think how it makes me such a better rider. Haro Bikes Rule! Go Buy one and RIDE!

Date Reviewed: February 25, 2003

Strengths:    Indestructible, smooth, relatively light, fast as hell.

Weaknesses:    It kind of sucks to look down and see Deore written across your shifter.

Bottom Line:
This bike is god-sent. It is the perfect bike for someone who wants to do everything. If you haven't made up your mind on what you want to pursue in the mountain biking field, this bike can handle it all. XC, freeriding, urban assault and even some downhill runs all succumb to the power of the 8.3.
