Submitted by Devinci Rider a Weekend Warrior from Kitchener
Date Reviewed: November 20, 2005
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $4500.00
Strengths:Very well built frames, all handbuilt, looks good, rides amazing, can downhill it, or huck it. The Boxxer performs smooth but like any other fork out there needs to be serviced yearly, pricey but lasts forever.
Weaknesses:could use a touch more travel, but you dont notice it until you really huck it big, easily fixed with a heavier weight spring, and the XT cranks it comes with, not the best out there but they work.
Similar Products Used:Bighit, 8-Flat-8
Bottom Line:Solid sexy bike, not what the "smart" guy above wrote, will outperform lots of bikes out there, price could be a bit lower by maybe 500 or so but i thought it was well worth it if im stioll riding it.

Date Reviewed: June 30, 2003
Favorite Trail:north shore
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $2500.00
Purchased At:steed cycles
Strengths:this products only trengths are the hayes brakes. the xtr components.
Weaknesses:the bigget weakness on this bike is the boxxer. it broke on me in 1 week, i switch it for a marzocchi super t. since it is tronger and liter.i also broke the head tube in one month. thats is why i only had it for one month. i also hate how it dosent come with a bah guard or chain guide, i had to spend even more money getting one of those. the price is also a HHHUUUUGGGEEE rip off the bike can be biult up for on 2000$cnd. and they charge 3000$cnd. i also herd of this one place in alberta charging 4000$cnd., like who would pay that much for a bike like that. i will admite the travle was very smooth and great i loved it but it wasent enuff, it was so smooth and good that it bottom out in three sec.
Similar Products Used:kona stinky, kona stinky nine, balfa bb7, p3, p2 ,norco rampage, norco 4hun
Bike Setup:stock.....but the boxxer broke and it was replaced with a super t.9 (the best fork ever) also a dirt works chain guide
Bottom Line:i would not recommend thi bike to any one. the price is a rip off and the boxxer needs to be replace by a marzocchi or mantibu product. any one who pays this price is not smart.the frame is ok has realy smooth travel but bottoms out to easy.the bottom line......DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE!!
