Strengths: this review is for the CFX-200, so beware.
solid bike, although it is the first full suspension i've tested for long enough to form an opinion.
components might seem a bit meagre, although they work nicely together.Weaknesses: the judy on this bike makes clunking noises when compressing hard. that doesn't inspire too much confidence.Bottom Line: sry for the lame review, haven't tested it long enough to give all the pros and cons. just wanted to post the one thing i couldn't find out when doing the research be4 bying the bike.
the rear shock is the 6.5(eye to eye) / 1.5(travel) model from rock shox. the people looking for further enhancement of downhill capabilities can increase the travel by installing the 7.5/2.0 models from different constructors.
ppl that are being held back from bying this bike because of the posted weigt (13.3kg), don't worry . changing the tires to less weighty models are likely to decrease the weight by 0.5kg.
the components seem to be aimed at big hits, the seatpost, stem/ handlebar are thicker than anything i've ever seen.
the julie disk brakes perform very well, so no need to worry about them (one finger braking, no problem)
the overall value of the components isn't to gr8, they perform like they should, but nothing exceeds the lx. i feel that the price of this bike is so high because of the supreme frame (the reason why i bouht this bike in the first place). same frame as cfx-100 bike.
gr8 enduro bike with a slightly high weight...in the same class as specialized enduro, but the scott has a better frame. i read that scott europe is on of the best brands concerning warranty replacements, so that might be an important evaluation point.
when i have tested the bike this summer in france i will likely be updating this review.
