Strengths: Beefy soild frame that you can depend on. Even tho it's a spring shock with no adjustments. I don't think one needs more than this to do cross country. I've been riding this for 6 years and I haven't changed a thing. It still lasts me and yea it's not a top end bike. That's because it isn't. But it will get you started. After riding 6 years and the technology advancing so much, there is much to complain about this bike but I till give it a good rating because it still holds up. I've even ridden easy downhill with this and wiped out badly like 3 times. Still nothing wrong with the bike.
Weaknesses: Fork does not suspend much. deraillers. shifters. brakes. Pretty much everything but hey it was $200 and I still have it and I probably can ride better than most people.
Bottom Line:
$200 to get started. Go get it. If I saw one for $100 brand new I would still get it and ride it. This bike has good things for its value but the product rating is OK. I even plan on changed our the fork, upgrade brakes and shifters this winter while I'm not riding it. It's great because it has holes by the rear dropouts to mount a rack. So i can use it on my travels to lug stuff through some trails and commute with it too. I will probably not find another bike with these mounts ever again. So I don't plan on ever getting rid of the bike. It will be the rugged bike I will always have and can ride anywhere and not worry about it at all. No one is going to steal this rig because its so bad but to me its almost perfect for use in every situation.

Strengths: The ZeroG is an Awesome bike. It is really good for around town riding. The Shimano quick shift gears made for easy shifting. When riding on the trail, the dual suspension works well on amateur trails. Yes, thats right I bought this bike brand new for $56 dollars, sports authority made a mistake and priced it wrong!!
Weaknesses: Well, The seat hurts your ass for long rides, and occasionally the derailleur doesn't work properly when going off large curbs or drops.
Bottom Line:
The Bottom Line is this is an exellent bike at a relatively cheap price. The worst part for me is mine was stollen. I would definitely recommend this bike for amateur mountain bikers.
Similar Products Used: I also have ridden my girlfriends bike the Zero G2. Its a very similiar setup.

Strengths: Strong re-enforced frame, long seatpost for taller riders, good price for the weekend rider.
Weaknesses: Twist grip shifters, hard seat, front shocks are too bouncy, tires way too knobby for street riding, does not come with reflectors, Handle bar stem short and unadjustable-( lower back pain when riding with seat post at max height). The Rear wheel is not quick realese. I had a problem where the lower crank bolts fell off the threads due to poor workmanship, and assembly at the factory. The overall weight of the bike is on the heavy side....like the titanic or Rosanne Arnold.
Bottom Line:
Had to add a threadless head set 3inch extender, switch the shifters to shimano rapidfire, new seat, Upgrade to a 24 speed hub and switch to 26 x 1.25 slick tires ( the original tires were too bulky and knobby for city streets and uphill pavement riding, a set of aerobars will help with backpain and comfort issues.
The bike will do well for average height and overweight riders. On trails you should consider switching to a different shifter style due to the fact that bumps and jumps will cause uncontrollabe shifting. If your a city rider consider a different bike before you end up making some expensive modifications.
Bike Setup: no mods except for new deraileur and tubes twice as thick

Strengths: Although the bike held up my 300 pounds the seat could only manage 50 of my flab. I am not you tipical biker. I am one of those who goes off of sweet jumps and off the trial and I got 5 feet of air one time. Only if you were there with your camera and popcorn and........CHEESCAKE!!!! My cameraman says that I like hot formie dezare, but Im a hot biker so no one cares. Oh sorry, I meant to say I caught five meters of air, but I'm the biker so I should know that the jump was only a foot tall and that is pretty big for my standards and for the bike. If you know what I mean. I know that I am writing a quality review so I will say one more thing. Just as much as I fudge pack, this bike does too. Give or take, you can't equal it out.
Weaknesses: The product is Weaknesses.
Bottom Line:
The frame comes directly from the factory with a custom built crack in the head set. -=I would consider racking yourself.=- Join the Rack Riders club today. Follow this link.........www.rackriders.tk. See the footage of someone racking themselves. You know I have racked 18 times this month and I have had racked my self 280 in my pants, and I'm not bragging, let me tell you.
Similar Products Used: The product is Similar Products Used and meets the FDA standards
Bike Setup: Basically all the new 2005 components including: (yes I bought this bike from D.I.) a Manitou Black Comp with 120mm travel with Hayes Hydraulics, a Manitou Swinger for the rear, its got the new Maxxis 2.5 DH tires, with Single Track double wall rims, with XTR rapidfire shifters and XTR deraileur front and rear rear, An XTR hubs and Cassette, and a RaceFace Cranks and an Eason Riser with a 180 degree turn radius, with a GearX giro in the front, and a Juicer on the fly that pumps out 300 pounds of sweet juice a minute. Now you know where I get my 200 pounds of flab, most is just juice- those are just my resurves. This bike offers a Pentium 4 with Windows XP and a DVD Burner and a ultra huge off on button that I kick every time I pedal.

Strengths: The bike is nice, strong and fairly light
Weaknesses: not many....
Bottom Line:
Good bike. I strongly recommend it. It is strong and makes a nice bike.
I was buying a bike for my daughter and just looking at the mountain bikes for me, saw the zero-g for 399.00 and thought it looked like a good bike but didn't plan on spending the money right now, sales person told me it was on sale for 199.00 and I couldn't pass it up. Not a hard core biker, so great for what I need.
this bike is the best the 7005 frame cro molly rear make it strong. up in the class of bikes 3 times its price the handling on trails is very stable the gripshift gears are good even while climbing I have no problems with this bike it has done 700ks only normal adjustments nothing broken.

Strengths: nice looking full suspension bike for the price. Stiff coil-over gives you pretty good performance on sprints.
Weaknesses: hmm, where to begin, bottom of the barrel components, except the rear derailleur, gripshifts were terrible switched gears accidentally. PLASTIC pedals, every other piece on the bike is STEEL, which makes the bike heavy.
Bottom Line:
The bottom line is When purchasing this bike I didn't know much, I just wanted a full suspension bike. This bike is good for a begginer lower end item. As my bike stands right now, it weighs just under 30lbs(which is not too bad considering how heavy it was when i bought it) And it performs pretty good on the trail only after I gutted it though so all i pretty much have is the frame. Im rating the bike the way it was originally purchased.

Strengths: Bike is light, easy to manuver. Haven't had any problems with gearing/shifting. Seems to handle well once i increased stiffness of front end...
Weaknesses: bike did require some "finish touch assembly". since it was purchased at a sporting goods store, not a bike shop.
Bottom Line:
Since i'm new to mountain biking i was taken back by the $1000 cost plus bikes. i wanted a decent bike with suspension (have a bad back so figure shocks would reduce jolts to system some) without having to take out a second mortgage to get into the sport. Now i'm at a point after 3 months of riding that when i do replace the bike i'm sure i'll upgrade. since i've had time to ride, research and learn about the bikes used in the sport. i ride trails and on the road. so the bike is good for both for me for now.

Bottom Line:
this is the greatest bike on & off road suitable for the person who wants a bike that will go anywhere you can peddle the 24 speed gears are a delight.

Strengths: Looks
Weaknesses: Twist Grip gearing system, engineering, suspension absorbs half the power
Bottom Line:
This bike is fine for pottering around town, but it doesn't handle the trails too well. The bottom line is that, although this is a dual suspension bike, it feels badly screwed together and engineered, the suspension is a nightmare when climbing hills, and the twist grip system changes gears when you don't want it to, and feels very low quality.
