Date Reviewed: June 20, 2006

Strengths:    beef

Weaknesses:    not very well built, I did more grinding on that frame to get it to work, then in a metal shop., really heavy, also the paint chips very easily.

Bottom Line:
I bought just the frame, and then broke the shock like 6 weeks later, because it bent. I weight 125 pounds and have never hit bigger and an 8 foot drop and the shock bent, not becase the shock sucked but because of the bad linkages, it rubbed on the frame and when it was getting serviced it bent my spare shock also that did not rub. I like the way it has pedal feedback and it words better to stand up and hammer on the pedals then to ride sitting down. This bike is good for someone with very little $ and good hands on skills when they have to do the things that the company forgot to do or don't care. If you can afford better get a specialized.

Strengths:    burly, great fork(shiver), nice wheels, all around pretty good component spec

Weaknesses:    heavy, stem needs a reach and rise, needs better seatpost, also already broke a bolt and they always come loose

Bottom Line:

Strengths:    Just bought the frame, can't wait to build it up. it's wicked beefy and a 5" long head tube is one of the biggest one's i've seen. the gusseting at the head tube should allow you to run a for as big as a Russi Big Foot or SuperMonster. the new Romic shock is awesome. we put it on my friends norco fluid to try it and it's super smooth.

Weaknesses:    after reading some other reviews, i took apart the pivot bolts and put some loc tite blue in there to keep it all together just to be safe. i've noticed that everyone that brakes one of these frames wieghts over 235 and are abusing the crap out of it.

Bottom Line:
this was the best bargan i've ever seen. a 9" travel downhill frame for $750, you can't beat that. the best deal ever. the frame may be alittle heavy but i don't care, it's a downhill bike after all and i'de rather have it be heavy because it's over built than lighter and more vulnerable to breaking.

Strengths:    the frame is built like a tank, awsome rear shock.bike fits well,

Weaknesses:    none "its a down hill bike"

Bottom Line:
The bike is A Awsome freeride/DH bike, Made for Drops, downhill and whatever you throw at it. It goes uphill like a down hill bike. you have to work it.I disagree with some of the other reveiws, just remember its not a cross country bike. the shiver single crown fork is sweet.
get this bike and enjoy it ride it over every thing.

Strengths:    Plush rear suspension can take almost any thing you throw at it. Frame is lateraly stiff. Adjustable travel.

Weaknesses:    High stand over, heavy. Bobs like crazy if you do not use the chain guide suplied with the frame it is a little noisy.

Bottom Line:
I called the factory and talked to the engineer that helped design the bike and he gave me the hot setup on the chain guide.
