Strengths: Killer Looks. Love the carbon fiber. This bike climbs very well and decends well too.Weaknesses: I'm switching over to the k2 Zed Team, because the razorback feels like a hardtail. The shock setup is very strange. The fork is not very plush ether.
Bottom Line: This bike is very good ecsept for the rear shock.Going down a hill with a not very responsive bike can be dangerous. If you like bumpy, rough downhills and killer uphills this bike is for you.

Strengths: Light, stiff, quick, climbs greatWeaknesses: Thin Paint job. Retail price.Bottom Line: My bike is still a work in progress. Climbs as good or better than my Avalanche hardtail. I can also keep up with my single track downhill buddies. A very versatile bike that has increased my riding ability/confidence on climbs and steep downhills (without huge dropoffs). No problems with the noleen rear shock as of yet. I would recommend the 100mm front forks iof you want comfortable downhilling. 5 weeks into ownership- I would recommend it.

Strengths: Light, stiffer than the '01, carbon stays, climbs like a mountain goat, bar mounted lockout, i could go on....Weaknesses: None as of yet. Frameset did arrive with a slight ding in the down tube. Verdict is still out on the integrated headset.Bottom Line: This bike is great. Kudos to K2 for the grassroots program allowing me as a beginning racer to qualify for their program. The bike climbs better and is laterally stiffer than the 2001 razorback. The shorter wheelbase makes the steering quicker, but within a ride or two, I became accustomed to it and actually perfer it. Not only would I buy it again, I'd recommend it to all my friends!

Strengths: None, Cross-MaxxWeaknesses: Heavy, subject to fialure, no tubeless tires, sluggishBottom Line: The shock failed the first ride and I sent it back to k2. The shock has been at K2 for 9 weeks and they keep giving me the run around. Peter is the only customer service rep and he told me that the are having about a 70% failure rate on the shocks. The bottom line is that this is the second Razorback that I have owened in two years, my 01 cracked twice and the shock blew 4 times. K2 would only fix the shock once and I was forced to pay all the other times, they have the worst cutomer service and you will have the same guy working on snowboards and skates working on your bike.....I should have learned form the first bike, and another thing is every K2 gets bad write-ups in the Mags, be be carefull and do yourself a favor and buy bike from a bike company not a rollorblade company.

Strengths: Super lightweight and smooths out the ride.Weaknesses: A little pricey, doesn't come with pedals and it makes all other bikes inferior.Bottom Line: This is the perfect full-suspension bike for hard-tail holdouts like myself. Both ends of the bike can be locked out for completely rigid ride but the Noleen rear pull-shock and the Sid Race work so well together you may not want to use them. The K2 razorback Sl is the perfect X/C racing bike and A great all purpose trail rider.
