Strengths:    very strong, lasts forever, wont break

Weaknesses:    bit heavy

Bottom Line:
great bike, switched to mountain bike tires off kids mountain bike for a while, added great traction, but switched back due to added weight. great on dirt but need to be strong to move it around

Strengths:    Beautiful best looking bike i have ever seen in my life strong the frame is indestructable but over the 4 years i have had it the head tube has become a bit ovalized but other than that it is rock solid and idk if its really ovalized i bought some new bearings and bearing cups and they pressed in frimly but it seems just a bit sloppy

Weaknesses:    The rear hub is a breaker, due to the left hand right hand capability it has to have the rear bearings be really close togeather and they are verry small and some rough 180s and 360s when its not perfectly adjusted will cuase you to obliterate your bearings but o well they are only 15 for the pair at your local bearing house

Bottom Line:
get rid of those dam wheels! and its perfect sure is a looker sad they discontinued them

Strengths:    My coments are about the 2001 model. Most people that test mine agree about its solid construction. The frame design is great, the geometry is perfect. It's original configuration -990 brakes, Alex Supra Zigma Pro rims, sealed 14mm hubs, high pressure (100 PSI) tires, 3 pieces crankset, and everything oversized- brought that bile the better price-benefit relation I was looking for.

Weaknesses:    Too heavy (quality sometimes means sacrifices). The forks were not as good as the frame. And the crankset, althought it seems as strong as the famous Profile SS crankset, is really bad. What do I mean? I used a Redline Flite 401 180mm crankset for about 16 years in my other bike (a classic '86 GT Pro Series racing bike) 'til today. The Specialized crankset, despite its strong and heavy look, became broken a couple of months ago... after just two years!

Bottom Line:
The 2000 model was good, the 2001 was better. The 2002 model was bad, but for 2003 Specialized returned to the path... Despite the little problems I described above, I love my 2001 415 Pro bike. Some people asked me to sale it, but I'll never let it go... It is as heavy as strong, maybe too much for a 30 years old guy (I was riding since 1986) but quality is something to die for... especially when we talk about freestyling...

Bottom Line:
This bike is my second BMX bike, It is perfect for a 3 year skiled rider. It is defnitaly worth all $650. Framsdesign is very good. It works good for the neighborhod, skate part as the dirt jumps. This is the same bike that Alan cook rides in competion.
