Bottom Line:this has got to be the best bycicle on the planet! Diamondback dosn't even advertise this bycicle! it made me so pissed off! the quality and quanity make up for the rust. I think that anywhere from beginner through expert should be riding this bike. I asked a retired pro. and he said "this bike is the supreme ruler of dirt and speed"

Submitted by C.B. a Racer from Williamsport,PA, USA
Date Reviewed: December 28, 2001
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $399.00
Purchased At:Pearson's Bike Shop
Strengths:Chro-Mo frame with good in-between geometry [Not quite XLsize but comfortable enough.] Solid, beefy fork. Really nice wheelset & pedals! good workable brakes too!
Weaknesses:Headsetbolt has hokey washer that grinds inside of fork & stem. Check B/B bearings for overtightness from factory [mine had covers smashed from overtightness out-of-the-box!] Have wheels tightened & trued (and use nipple lock)
Similar Products Used:2002 RM20
Bike Setup:S&M Slam Handlebars/ATI Links Grips/TIOGA Comp ST Tires[REMEMBER THOSE!] KMC Z-30-H Chain/ACS CLAWS Freewheel & AC 182mm Crankset with 45T AC/DC Sprocket
Bottom Line:Straight out of the box it needs proper set-up for serious track & trail abuse. I rode it completely stock for 2 races and it worked flawless! In fact, save your money instead of buying a aluminum RM20 buy this bike! I wish I would have bought 2 of them...They're THAT GOOD!
