$379.00 | | Purchased At: | bike shop | | Strengths: | Light weight (lighter than a Pro Concept) at about 4lbs,although a Staats frame is now lighter. Stable geometry. Short chain stays, Euro BB. Interesting dropout design. U.S.A. made | | Weaknesses: | Top tube a little short for people around 6'. Expensive (though cheaper than a Staats, Pro Concept or GT Ultrabox). I ordered a 2000 year spec. frame from Dan's and they sent me a 1999 with a chip in the aluminum on the head tube. After I sent that frame back, they sent me a 2000 spec. When putting that frame together, we found it was tweaked. So I called Cheeta direct and they sent me a 2002 spec. frame and it was perfect! What a hassle though! | | Similar Products Used: | 24" GT Power Series (Chromo) | | Bike Setup: | King headset, S&M bars, Answer Carbo Pro forks, Easton aluminum post, Profile 180's w/Euro BB, titanim spindle, Crupi high flange hubs w/ titanium spindles, Rhino Lites, Shimano xtr brakes and lever, Answer stem, selle Italia seat | | Bottom Line: | I am not the most experienced rider, but this bike works for me. It is quick off the gate, and stable in the turns. You don't have to train 10 hours a week to go fast, because it is so light. If you have the money, it's a great ride! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
