Sure, the Louis Garneau Nice Socks are indeed quite nice, but we're more inclined to believe the name is actually taken from the coastal French city of Nice, where the Spring Classic Paris-Nice race culminates. The Nice Socks are certainly worthy of the rigors of the classics, with a reinforced heel and toe and a highly breathable and stretchy upper. They are constructed from a technical blend of polyester, nylon, and Lycra fibers that give each sock its respective breathable, water-repellant, and antimicrobial properties. However, the sock is chiefly comprised of dynamic Outlast fabric, which maintains a comfortable microclimate in your shoes by absorbing and releasing excess heat off your feet while you pedal. This adaptive nature makes the sock ideal for temperate rides where you won't expect to be in the extremes of hot or cold. The Louis Garneau Nice Socks are available in Black, and in sizes Small through Large. They feature a full, Euro-style cuff that hits just between your ankles and calves.
