Strengths:    Comfortable. Tough material. Excellent pad/liner. Great fit.

Weaknesses:    Would be nice if there was a belt/waist strap but there are belt loops if you want to put one on.

Bottom Line:
These retail for about $75 everywhere I looked. Found them on sale at performancebike.com for $50 with an additional 20% off, free shipping, and then 10% back for memebers so they ended up being less than $38 each delivered with tax. Got two more pair after I tried them out because I liked them so much. Best pad of any shorts I own. Really nice fit that covers your butt without having to keep pulling them up. Much better pad, fit, and durable material than the Ether model. They have two snaps with zipper fly and elastic waist at rear. No drawstring which I don't like anyway. I'm a 32-33 waist and the mediums fit perfect. I've never wanted to pay more than $60 for shorts so I've never tried any of the better Fox models but these are ten times better than any short I've found under $50. Buy them if you like baggy shorts and can get a decent price.

The new Giant Revolt - cross/gravel grinder bike

More of a gravel grinder I suppose, but pretty nice looking bike and the Giant "dirt drop" is actually a pretty nice bar they have on it too. I got to see one at the LBS yesterday. Cool to see more of these bikes showing up. [url=http://www.giant-bicycles.com/showcase/revolt/#overview]Showcase: R ... Read More »

Continental X King RaceSport 2.4 vs Bontrager Revolt X 2.2

I currently have a set of Bontrager Revolt Super X 2.2s, and while they are super fast rolling, they are not so good in the wet (even slightly). I see there is a set of Continental X King RaceSport 26 x 2.4 for sale on this forum, and I'm thinking of picking them up. Will the Continental X King R ... Read More »

Can't decide - Revolt or DHR - Chain slap?

I was reading a review about the Revolt and I like that the the person said that there was virtually no chain slap. I guess the DHR doesn't have elevated chain stays so it can keep the wait lower, so I was wondering if anyone had any input of the DW DHR on how the chain slap is. (I'd just go ... Read More »

TR450 <or> EVIL Revolt <or> GIANT Glory '10???

HI all, Planning to get a proper DH rig in the next few months. Recently I discovered TR450 and it looks sweet and by the looks of it performs too. Here in Australia E.Revolt's frame is $400 less so that's a plus. Giant again is somewhat cheaper that other two. Lets say money is not an issue, ... Read More »
