Strengths: The liner is the best I've used and can be worn solo if you're into thatWeaknesses: Blue waistband on the liner obvious if your jersey rides up and you're using the liner solo, the shell is indeed noisy too. A tad pricey.Bottom Line: Honestly I'd say just get the OS liner as a backup to whatever shell you have. The liner is awesome. The Swobo shell works great, it's light and doesn't really stick to your skin like someone mentioned, it's tough as ever for how thin it is, lightweight, and keeps you cool. I really like the shell a lot. The noise it makes is loud and keeps it from a perfect 5 all around.

Strengths: The best liner around, functional construction, does not snag on seat or chafe. Hold up well to repeated washing. My go-to short/liner combo for epic trail rides.Weaknesses: Not the most stylish shorts off the bike, if you are into shuttling or want shorts to ride to the brewpub these are not for you.Bottom Line: For long/epic rides it is hard to beat these shorts for function. I notice the "shush" noise of the fabric for about the first mile then forget about it. The liner keeps me comfortable on all-day rides in rough terrain. Since the liner is separate it can move independently from the baggies, so it doesn't pull or cause chaffing when you shift your weight on the bike. The outer short is lightweight but durable enough to survive, after heavy use for one year mine still look almost brand new. There is a weather-proof pocket for your trail map, I don't like to have anything else in my pockets (I use a pack) so that's all I need. In general, these are very functional shorts with a great separate liner. They may not be the most stylish off the bike, but if you are looking for durable, long-lasting shorts with a comfy liner then these are for you.

Strengths: Light (too light in fact)Weaknesses: Feels like nylon. Sticks when you start sweating. Noisy.Bottom Line: I bought this short wanting a light and comfortable short for XC riding during the summer. Wore it twice early 07 and hated them. They felt like cheap swim trunks. The shorts are short so when you sit on your bike it rides up halfway up your thigh. Personal opinion but just felt weird up that high. The fabric is crisp, yet wrinkly so it was extremely noisy when pedaling. Worse yet was that it feels sticky when your legs start sweating. It gets out out here you so sweat whether you want to or not. Unless you like riding noisy nylon clothing, don't get this short
I do have to add that their liner is awesome. Very comfortable. I wear it with my Royal shorts and its a sweet combo.

Strengths: Fit is awesome. Durable.Weaknesses: None so far. I have to keep checking to make sure I am not naked they feel so good.Bottom Line: Can't beat the feel, fit or fashion. Buy these if you want a quality baggy short that can go from the trail to your favorite store when finished.
