Product Description

These soft midweight tights provide moisture management and warm comfort for your autumn and winter workouts. ThermaFleece polyester transfers moisture away from skin to evaporate quickly for dry comfort. Elastic waistband with flat-braid drawstring allows an adjustable fit without binding. Side 8-inch ankle zippers for easy donning and doffing over shoes; gripper elastic at ankles keeps tights in place. Internal credit card pocket for convenience. Pearl Izumi reflective logo on side of legs helps you be seen in low-light conditions.

Strengths:    Fit, warmth, multiple uses

Weaknesses:    shrinkage

Bottom Line:
These zip tights do it all. They are awesome for cool and cold weather rides to keep your legs warm (not hot) for your short or long rides.

I used them at the "Iceman" and the "New Years Day" rides when the weather was cool or down right freezing and they rocked. kept my legs at the same comfort level without any cold spots.

Another big advantage is that they do not have the chamois in them which allows you to use them for other outdoor activities (x-county skiing, snowshoing, base layer for snowmobiling, etc...)

Strengths:    So much freedom of movement that it feels as if I'm going bottomless; these tights neither tug, nor bunch up; breathability without over-compromising on wind resistance; SEX APPEAL--women I've met while riding have actually asked if they can feel my muscular legs (yes, of course!), it seems women really like a muscular guy in tights, at least here in Japan; the ones with LumiNite (or something like that) reflective material have really changed my world in terms of night time riding safety, and therefore, enjoyment; these tights are VERY durable.

Weaknesses:    I had one thread pull out, which is the stitching at the top--it seems to be purely cosmetic. It's no big deal at all. My taylor can fix it easily (he does a really good job on patching up my cycling clothes even when I tear them to shreads). It's certainly not anything I would call a reason not to buy this product, and I've been riding with them like that for a couple of months now because it doesn't at all effect performance. The rest of the seams are solid. I abuse the hell out of these tights and they still look new.

Bottom Line:
I can't believe no one else has done a review on these things yet. This is an absolutely great product that does everything it promises and then some. These tights are durable, fashionable, a whole new level in performance design, and have drastically improved my riding performance and enjoyment.

Basically, the best of any other tights I've ever used weren't shaped to fit like a glove like these do, weren't durable, didn't stay in place, and looked dorky. But these tights make me feel like I've got Olympic legs compared to others which would either restrict my movement, or slip and slide as I rode causing me to have to stop and fix them or just bear the discomfort.

Pearl Izumi keeps making great stuff to keep me warm and dry in the most extreme situations. I wish they had they're own retail stores, like Nike does.
