Strengths: Both the battle shorts and the cotton cammos are class, sheer class. Battles are tough, quick drying, look cool, great design (a bloke must have suggested the velcro fly to Angie!). Cammos are perfect length and cut, look fantastic, are cool in both senses.
Weaknesses: Only one grumble. The cammos, meant for urban riding and kicking about it, don't have hip pockets so you end up with all your change, your phone and whatever in the leg pockets, jangling about with each revolution of the pedal, which is uncomfortable and annoying - and ruins the cut of the shorts. Addition of one or two there would make them the PERFECT short. Battles, for proper riding, do have them though - bizarrely.
Bottom Line:
The Battle shorts are faultless, and real quality. The Cammos look brilliant are and really well made, and cool as hell. Just add that change pocket(s) to them and they would be the only short worth buying.
Bike Setup: In town, signle cog Revolution courier effort. On the hill, a full-sus Scott with Hope Minis.

Strengths: Well put together materials, love the velcro fly with clip, great length, nice venting on the sides, and to colors are sweet.
Weaknesses: Nothing yet.
Bottom Line:
Just got 'em a few days ago, and though they're out of season now, couldn't resist the price. Like supporting local (to me) businesses, so it's win win in my opinion.

Strengths: Cotton, with poly side vents, boxer cut no bunching or tightness in the crouch area, elastic waist in back and velcro wear the zipper is supposed to be and easy to secure clip for the buckle you can't go wrong with the manly camo color with orange colored side panels to set it off, long enuff to cover the knees or pads if you wear em
Weaknesses: cotton it rips easier than the battle short cordura but these are made for casual wear more than riding but the cotton is great for Texas summers
Bottom Line:
Do you want comfortable usuable clothing to ride in? Did I mention they look hella cool. I only wear corerat clothing.
Ordered direct from Angie as a summer special at only 16.75$
I love this short. They are different from the other thanks to their camo printing.
They fit perfectly as the battle short (see reviews for details). I wear them when riding and also when walking arourd. They look great with my Lacoste yellow polo.
If you want a cool short you can use to walk arount also, buy them.Be careful that cotton is no as resistent as cordura 500.So use them only for light rideing.
Strengths: Looks sweet!....Oh, and they fit very well, too.
Weaknesses: The "small" size is a little big for my 29" waist. I pull hard on the waist strap and they are fine. If that strap were a bit longer... might they cover a wider size range?
Bottom Line:
The cotton camo's are great for light riding. Remember, the inseam is on the shorter side, so they don't cover too much while on the bike. I also have the longer cammo's with the orange side vents. These provide plenty of coverage below the knee. Get yourself a pair... they look and feel great, and someone spent an awful lot of time thinking about how to make a good pair of shorts. Next, I'm going to try the Delux jacket.
But don't take my word for it... call up Core Rat and you can talk to the people who make this gear.
