Strengths:    Price/Performance/Asthetics

Weaknesses:    Weight/Flex

Bottom Line:
Don't care for the standard looking clipless shoes. Like the hiking shoe look much better. Heavier than the standard bike shoe with a bit more flex, but I like it. I like the look and the extra weight gives me a better workout.

Strengths:    Fit and comfort. No problems clipping in/out.

Weaknesses:    Durability - almost immediately, tread knobs started breaking off. After 6 months, the soles near the cleat plate are broken all the way through. (Granted, this is from "hike a bikes" on jagged southwest rock.)

Bottom Line:
Because they fell apart, I'm looking for a new, more durable shoe. I got these on sale, though, and put a lot of rides in them. My rating reflects if I had paid closer to MSRP.

Strengths:    Looks good, wide fit, great if you need to get off and hike.

Weaknesses:    Sometimes hard to find the cleat with clipless

Bottom Line:
Great looking shoe for the novice racer/rider. I like the fact that it doesn't have a severly stiff sole so you can get off and hike if you need to. I'm looking forward to using them this summer. Plus, with the wider fit, they fit me better.I got them for a great price so I didn;t think I could go wrong.

Strengths:    Firm sole, relatively light, looks, comfort.

Weaknesses:    A bit pricey but otherwise none.

Bottom Line:
A comfortable, good looking shoe with a firm sole. Not too chunky which avoids smacking the cranks as my previous shoe did. Not a bad walker but wouldn't like to hike too far in them. A great shoe for the trail rider or not so serious xc racer.

Strengths:    This shoe is very comfy. I've been biking for a couple of months, and don't have much experience, but I know a comfy shoe. This shoe is also very strong. It is great especially if you have to get off and walk. A great hiker. It is a great shoe for a beginner. This shoe rocks.

Weaknesses:    None so far.

Bottom Line:
This shoe is a definite for the money and for anyone who may have to hike out of any area.
