Strengths: Nice fit, ok grip.Weaknesses: Durability and what I consider value for $$Bottom Line: My 1st try at a shoe for flats and though they worked well enough for the first 3 months, they are now eaten up, with holes in both soles and some stitching busted.
First off, I'm working on my urban / trials / free ride (what ever that is..) skills and rode consistently 3-6 days a week for the past 3 months and a bit more hit and miss 3 months before. A fair amount of time in the shoe, I'd guess 120+ rides of 1-2 hour duration. Second as I said my first time on flats, so maybe my "technique" isn't as smooth as others who have years of experience and cuased more wear and tear.
Still I thought if you design a shoe to work on flats like say the jack$hit they should hold out more than 6 months before developing holes in the sole and stiching busting. Most of my riding is relatively mellow (small drops, wheelie & endos, hopping & rocking practice, etc) so it was an additional shock to see this shoe disintergrate so fast. Yeah I know the sharp pins on a flat are going to eat a shoe, but again figured it would take a bit longer to develop a hole...go figure.
510 - high impact is going to be the replacement shoe...I read the reviews and hope it holds up for a long period of time...
Value 3 they held up 6 months and I can still use them...but they are on the way to the grave fast. Overall value I felt was poor to fair considering what they are made for and how long they lasted.

Strengths: Grippy on pedals, good support and ankle protection. European sizing means a better fit.Weaknesses: Don't walk in them on wet surfaces, they slip and slide. The hard plastic ankle protection may irritate some. Flexible sole, so don't use it for racing.Bottom Line: Good freeride, DH, or trials shoe. Good grip on the pedals (you may have trouble repositioning your foot without taking it all the way off the pedal). The sole is thin and flexible, so they aren't going to transmit all your force to the pedal, but if you don't need efficiency as much as grip and feel, they work great.

Strengths: These are the best non-SPD shoes on the market, bar none. Super grippy and comfortable, on or off the bike. They have built-in ankle protection, reinforced wear areas and a handy dandy lacekeeper.Weaknesses: None, except maybe the soles get a little chewed up by the pins on platform pedals. They are also pricey, although you can now get them for around fifty bucks if you shop around.Bottom Line: If you are like me and can't get the hang of a clipless setup, these shoes are the best around for platform pedals. They are REALLY comfortable and provide support and protection for your ankles. Definitely worth the money, particularly now they have come down a lot in price. The Dually Taki shoes are so grippy, you'll feel like you are clipped in until you need to put your feet down in a hurry. No more embarrassing falls 'cause you can't get unclipped in time!

Similar Products Used: None. I tried clipless shoes/pedals for a while but hated 'em! I will never give up my platform pedals again (Azonic Xtension pedals rock!).
Bike Setup: Patriot Blue 2005 Cannondale Prophet 1000; standard setup except for a WTB gel saddle, Yeti ODI grips and Hutchinson Octopus tires.
