Very comfortable; reasonably stiff for a recreational/commuter shoe; very easy to walk in; lighter than other similar shoes and even many higher end shoes; you can drive your car in them, even a stick shift

These are great shoes. I have used them on many epic 3hr+ rides and have no complaints. I have gone way past what these shoes are intended for, and am only now, after well over a year, looking to upgrade into a more serious XC shoe. Still, I will always wear these for casual rides or any ride with lots of hike-a-biking, because they are so easy to walk in and so comfortable. These were a great purchase.

Comfortable, looks great for casual riding.

The lacing, Only in that the laces are threaded through leather folded straps. Three of the top straps have broken on me.

This product would be awesome if the laces were threaded through conventional eyelets. Only because you have to have the shoes tighter than regular shoes and the leather isn't able to take the strain.
If you complain about weight with these shoes, you bought the wrong shoes. These are designed to be used as casual riding shoes that look good on or off the bike.

Strengths:
Looks great in jeans. The cleats are recessed enough to avoid the clicking sound when walking. Sturdy. Comfortable. The stow-away pocket for the laces is a great safety feature. Great for bike commuting.
Weaknesses:
No other color option available other than the beige/off-white. Since I commute to work, I wear these shoes in the office as well. Therefore, I have to keep them clean. The color isn't going to help.
This pair will look great off and on the saddle. If you're looking for a great commuting and recreational off-road riding shoe, this is it. Fairly cheap yet sturdy. Don't rate this shoe along side the SIDIs or CARNACs. This pair isn't meant to be raced at pro-level.

Great value, good looking, quite comfortable, neat pocket to hide laces, built to last, great pedal grip, firm platform and efficient power to the pedal. But toes get "tight" after a couple hours, heaviness is not a huge problem, but breathability on hot Texas days (85 degrees plus) on longer rides causes some sweatiness and foot cramping. It is hard to get one shoe that is good for all types of riding and any weather situations, but, the SH-M034 works for most conditions, it's a good deal at $49.

Apparently very sturdy and well made for a low-ish end shoe. The D-Pocket for the laces are a lifesaver. Laces are short and well made - a must for bike shoes (I know... I know... REAL bike shoes don't HAVE laces). The included waterproofing tape for the sole is super handy. Made for every type of riding you can think of (except of course - hard core road racing).
Weaknesses:
They're fairly heavy for a bike shoe. I was expecting something much lighter. Cleats not as recessed as I was hoping for. Perhaps I have the clips mounted improperly, but... they still click on the concrete when I walk. I was hoping for a recess enough that I could walk comfortably in them on pavement.

Bottom Line:
Dude... for 60 bucks you get a well made, well designed and (fairly) attractive (albeit heavy) bike shoe. It's hard not to like them for that price.
Hard core enthusiast? Go pay 225 bucks for the high end.
Weekend Warrior who rides diverse terrains? You'll be okay. Beginning or intermediate rider looking for a first shoe? You'll definately be okay.
