If you attach clipless pedal cleat, the cleat will be fairly recessed so you may need to give it somewhat of a good shove to attach cleat to pedal.

Bottom Line:
To me these are the ideal mountain bike shoe for the trail rider. Their affordable and durable so you won't be worrying about messing up a pair of $200 Carbon Fiber soled race shoes in the mud and losing any of the little clips for the straps. They have laces and a wide velcro strap to keep you laces down and away so they do not get caught.
Not the lightest or stiffest shoe. So not for the hardcore XC racer. They do give a bit so it helps when you need to hike-a-bike or when walking around after a ride.

Very solid shoe with great sole support for a flat "van-like" shoe. Comfortable after a little break in time. Ridiculously inexpensive.
Weaknesses:
Shoe runs a little small. Shoes tend to squeak a little when soles get too wet.

These shoes are a quick fix that you will regret buying. I'm not really an expert with shoes but i highly suggest the Specialized BG sport ($85) they are cheep but i believe that they are race quality shoes unlike these.

Awesome shoe, especially for the price. The only thing you need to look out for is the sizing. I usually wear a 10.5 so I bought the 44, I should have bought the 45. The smaller size fits me fine while riding, but when it comes time to come off the bike they are a little uncomfortable. I'm not going to mark the shoe down for the sizing chart, but it is something you should be aware of when buying them. They are really grippy, the tred on the bottom hooks up to Zu-Zu's nicely. Other than that, the other guys are right on the mark.

I agree with the other guy. Great shoe for the price. Most people will not even know your wearing "bike" shoes. But that squeaking is annoying. It started after about two weeks of use for me, though I think it was caused by getting wet. I got caught in a downpour, and ever since... "squeak, squeak, squeak"

Nice all around shoe that doesn't look like a typical "ballerina" style slipper that affect most cycling shoes. They still look great after a year of use with no rips or tears. I'm 6' 190lbs. I wear these on and off the bike. The clips just barely touch the ground as I walk (i.e. they don't scape/tap much). If you want a good, cheap shoe that will last, then hop to Pricepoint and pick up a pair. Four chili's for 'Overall rating' because of that darned squeak!
