Date Reviewed: May 3, 2009
Favorite Trail:Unabomber / Terry at HP
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $49.00
Purchased At:Pricepoint
Strengths:Cheap, stiff enough, comfortable riding. Good ooting on New England rocks.
Weaknesses:Great for biking but not so comfortable for walking.
Similar Products Used:No other shoes.
Bike Setup:Older Heckler, BB7, Fox Float fork, Vanilla shock, Race Face DH cranks
Bottom Line:These have been great. I have beat them up good and they hold up fine. They are my first set of clipless. The front rubber cleats finally gave out after 3 years of twice a week riding.

Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:pricepoint.com
Strengths:affordable, very comfortable. I forget I am wearing anything because they are so light.
Weaknesses:Feel a little soft for riding in mud, then again I use to wear running sneakers for biking.

Bike Setup:Ironhorse
Bottom Line:Good for the price, I bought them with wam 3 pedals as a combo deal. Very light, comfortable when you order the correct size, easy on/off straps, shoe stays put.

Date Reviewed: December 13, 2005
Favorite Trail:Raven's Rock, Cooper's Rock
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $57.00
Purchased At:PricePoint.com
Strengths:Has reflective heel, that's about the only thing!
Weaknesses:Not stiff at all, did not fit well at all! There was a lot more room in these than my older pair of Specialized shoes (same size, 44). 2 straps with no laces was not a good idea. Can't say much else about them, I only had them for a week!
Similar Products Used:Specialized Comp
Bike Setup:Trek 6700
Bottom Line:Bought these as a combo with some wellgo pedals from PricePoint.com, and sold them within a week! very bad fit; too large for their size. Too flexible and too much room to move around in the shoe; maybe a size 43 would have been better, but I've always worn 44s. I only tested them around the block a few times, so I can't really comment on their field performance. Just from looking at them up close and personal though, the seams, material, and velcro all looked really cheap. Stay away from these.

Date Reviewed: November 7, 2005
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:Price Point
Strengths:They do the job, and seem to be holding up well.
Weaknesses:Could be more comfortable, and I wouldn't necessarily want to be wearing these on a muddy tail in the Northeast.
Similar Products Used:N/A
Bike Setup:Old-School: Univega Alpine 2000 w/ replacements and upgrades (Hey, it's a good frame.)
Bottom Line:A good entry-level shoe for riders going clipless for the first time. Bought them as a combo from Price Point with Wellgo pedals, and have been pleased so far. Just don't plan on running through the forest in them...
