Strengths: The shoe is comfortableWeaknesses: Buckle is made of cheap plastic and doesn't hold up for the needs of mountain biking.Bottom Line: This was my first clip shoe so didn't know really know what to look for when I first purchased. I liked the idea of the buckle to tighten the shoe. Within the first couple of rides the buckle broke off the shoe. This was replaced under warranty which I was happy with and thought I had a bad shoe. But after the replacement, the buckle broke off two more times. Finally the shoe was replaced under warranty for newer model with a slightly different buckle design. This fixed the break-off issue but the buckle release is made with cheap plastic and that broke off. Currently, I am just using the shoe with a broken buckle release. Now that I have had it a year I am planning to replace it with a Shimano shoe. One positive is the company honored the warranty.

Strengths: PriceWeaknesses: DurabilityBottom Line: These are comfortable shoes at a great price compared to many of the other name brand shoes I tried on. However, after only three months of weekend use (maybe 10 rides), the ratchet adjustment clip broke off of both shoes. I I don't think I over-tightened them, as I would have thought foot discomfort would come before the failure of the adjustment clip. I'm really disappointed because the shoe performed well, and, like I said, it was a comfortable shoe at a good price.
If I just got a defective pair, they will be a great value for you. If my experience is any indication, though, there is not much value in having to buy new shoes every 10 rides.
