Strengths: Laces, walkable, pass as any other shoe, water resistant yet breathable, decently stiff but still good for "hike a bike". Commute, train, and trial friendly.Weaknesses: Laces, walkable but cleats still make contact with surfaces.Bottom Line: Great all around shoe so far. They are quite stiff, yet walking is not uncomfortable. A dedicated shoe, with a super stiff sole and aggressive tread, would be better for racing. Although walkable, the cleats will make contact with the walking surface. So, don't go stopping across any hardwood floors or tile. I really wanted a laced shoe to avoid some of the pitfalls of velcro in general use. However, the laces are longish and could potentially get caught in the crank arm or chain. Double knots for the laces! Very good shoe especially for those that need multipurpose utility. I am curious as to how they will do in the cold. Not worth the $120 msrp, but as with most biking stuff, it can be found for less.
