$100.00 | | Purchased At: | bikebling.com | | Strengths: | Doesn't scream "biking shoe." | | Weaknesses: | The insole is very thin. This is my first clipless shoe and maybe that's how they're supposed to be, but I have sensitive nerves on the bottom of my feet and the padding wasn't enough. A new insole from the local sporting goods store took care of the issue. | | Similar Products Used: | none | | Bike Setup: | Trek Fuel EX 8 | | Bottom Line: | I was looking for my first clipless shoe that fit right, looked casual, and didn't cost a fortune. This shoe fit the bill. I like a little bit wider shoe and this one fit me right.
I've only ridden in these shoes a few times now (50 miles), so I can't comment on the durability like the previous poster did. So far, so good though. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$80.00 | | Purchased At: | Wiggle | | Strengths: | Good looking | | Weaknesses: | The sole (vibram) cracked, the front of the shoes was ripped wery quickly | | Similar Products Used: | Northave, Axo | | Bike Setup: | Blur LT2 | | Bottom Line: | I bought those shoes follwoing a nice experience with earlier Northwave shoes, that I kept for 5 years. Unfortunately those ones did not resist more than 7 rides!!! First the front of the shoes cracked, the leather is really bad! Second the Vibram sole just snapped, and now the cleat is no longer stable. These are the worst shoes you can find. I won't buy again shoes from Northwave, where has gone quality in 5 years???
