Strength:

Warmer than summer shoes, hand warmer packs can be slid between the upper and the shoe, you can find them fairly cheap. Keep your feet clean and cozy for a fall CX race.

Weakness:

Not that warm, not that waterproof (actually not at all waterproof), some stitching is coming out after 1 season. The hard plastic soles and wet hardwood stairs will turn you into a heap at the bottom...trust me on this one.

Do not pay the MSRP for these! I got mine for <100 and for that price they aren't too bad. When they say 0 degree you can bet that they are talking about degrees C because below freezing these start to loose any type of warmth. They are by no means waterproof. They are basically a pretty cheap MTB shoe with a built in shoe cover but NOT OVER THE TOES. The toes are a single layer of plastic which seems to conduct heat (or cold) pretty well. I used them last winter to temps down to 0F but after about an hour my tootsies were usually ready for a hot shower. They could be better.
