Strengths:    leather uppers Stiff sole, grippy rubber sole, mid-wide fitting, round toebox, boa ratcheting lace

Weaknesses:    sole quite (probably unnecessarily ) chunky, weight - 1kg per pair of size 45 with spd cleats

Bottom Line:
Beautifully made leather shoes fairly ugly with disco white uppers with garish red accents.. nothing a few weeks of use won't tone down.
Got on special for 150 AUD/155USD which is a real bargain. Fits wide and largish in comparison to Sidi (especially) and slightly larger in length and width than an equivalent sized shimano MTB shoe.
Great grip from actual rubber sole. Boa system works a treat and the sho wraps snugly around the foot - greeat in hot weather.
Very stiff sole but hikes ok.

Strengths:    Great fit once broken in, kangaroo leather is supple and light weight, BOA is working better and better as shoes break in. Not too wide, not to narrow

Weaknesses:    Clunky and clunky. Terrible hardware included with shoes - buy separately studs and key. Lake as a company is crap!!!!! = zero customer support or care. WHY Lake would you piss off a new customer willing to pay 300.00 for a pair of your shoes, huh?

Bottom Line:
I wanted SIDIs but they were too expensive. I thought about this shoe as something new and bold: BOA. (Also, I paid much closer to 100.00 for these shoes)
