Strengths:    Comfortable

Weaknesses:    None so far

Bottom Line:
The Lake MX 85's are an affordable racing style MTB shoe. They feature a rugged, cleated sole that works well off road and is comfortable on asphalt as well. It features three velcro straps that cinch it comfortably. Despite the thickness of the sole's lugs they don't interfere with spd. cleats. Their fit is true to Lake's sizing chart. The size 45 was listed as US size 11 which fit me perfectly. After a few weeks of use the Lake MX 85's are proving to be an excellent choice.

I called and spoke with Ibex and they believe that the axle to crown height on this fork is probably similar to some of the 80-85mm forks ... Read More »

Upgrade MX Pro 105 to Marathon SL 85?

Hi all, I need some advise. My bike is an 02 Rocky Mountain Trailhead that came with a 80 mm RS Judy TT, which obviously was a heavy, terrible performing fork. Last year I upgraded it to a 03 MX Pro ETA 105mm, the difference was amazing and it helped my riding progress a lot. I’ve had nothing but ... Read More »
