Strengths:    Comfy.

Weaknesses:    Surface rubber is disintegrating, and soles are cracking apart, and both have peeled half way off within 7 months use. Fabric of velcro is very ratty already too.

Bottom Line:
I didn't wear these all winter, so my warranty was up by the time they died. So far Lake is giving me BS, and hasn't warrantied them. They lasted less than 7 months!!!
My old shimanos lasted for years!

Don't buy lake, it's a mistake!!

Strengths:    Cool and comfortable in warm weather. Foot is held secure no foot movement or slipping.

Weaknesses:    They dont have heaters for winter riding. Okay, Okay I no complaints about them.

Bottom Line:
I love them. I only wear shoes when it is cold. I was hesitant when I rode my first trail with them. I wore socks the first time and hated it cause I looked like a old man wearing socks with sandals. What was I thinking?
There is a toe guard which keeps almost everything out. If not just un-clip for a second and let gravity do the work. If you like tan and cooler feet buy them.
Like I said I never wear shoes...unless it is cold out.

Strengths:    Comfortable and durable. You get a nice tan on your feet, if you want to. Saves money on socks.

Weaknesses:    Limited sizes. Our trails put the sand in sandal. ;-)

Bottom Line:
If you ride in Arizona, as I do, the warm weather makes this foot gear useful year round. The high toe guard stops the cactus spines . . . Ok, mostly stops cactus spines. These sandals are hard to beat for comfort in really warm weather. If you prefer sweaty socks and desire a white ankle tan line, you should stick to regular shoes. ;-)
