Submitted by Jon a Cross Country Rider from Knoxville, TN USA
Date Reviewed: May 28, 2006
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:Suck Creek Cycle
Strengths:Lightweight, stiff sole, doesn't absorb water
Weaknesses:metal loops for velcro closures rust
Similar Products Used:Mantiou Answer, various Shimano shoes
Bike Setup:Santa Cruz Blur w/ Time pedals
Bottom Line:I have been riding these shoes for about 4 years now and love them. While they have approached the end of their life span I would highly reccomend them for moderate to pro riders. Very lightweight and stiff. The breathable mesh material will not hold water so you shoes aren't heavy after spashling through creeks.

The only thing I don't like is the metal loops the velcro closures go through did rust, but I guess thats expected after time??

Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $99.00
Purchased At:Nashbar
Strengths:This shoe is durable with a stiff sole and no water absorbsion. Secure fit, well made.
Weaknesses:Bright color scheme is a bit much. Small spikes supplied by
Garneau, Heavy
Similar Products Used:Nashbar Roll (don't bother, fell apart after a month of use
Bike Setup:Almost Stock Schwinn rocket 88 w/ Shimano 858 pedals
Bottom Line:This shoe is a good value. Its tough and durable, in it for the long haul. Its extra weight is made up for by its durability.
